This storm is terrible for two reasons. It is massive in size and it is moving ever so slow. It is headed further North into the state and the rate is 13 mph. This means hours and hours of heavy rain. Here is a radar view link Courtesy of WTVT Tampa www.fox13news.com/skytower-radar-north-florida

My youngest son works for FP&L as a lineman in Melbourne. He's been working 16 hour days, but so far, the brunt of the storm is to the west and north of him.

Polk County is getting driving rain. I may get my house flooded by tomorrow afternoon. My pond is over its banks near my garage now. Usually I am high and dry, but we have had torrential rains all July way before this hurricane came along. This will be a major disaster in the days to come. click where it says watch on you tube
