WF has a brand new "Hot Press" article and all of it really deals with Cardinals in Spotlight at pick #4. The last 1/4 of this article deals with a player who might be the Cardinals first round pick - Edge Laiatu Latu whose medical has come back better than teams expected. Latu could be Cards pick at #11 or #12 or #23 or in a trade-up depending on which team Monti trades with. It's good to be Monti
P.S. If I knew this draft could happen in the first 35 picks, I'd deal with the Vikings but of course you just don't know but perfect draft would be: #11 - Odunze #23 - Latu #27 - Byron Murphy but I'd still take J. Newton #35 - Jordan Morgan (it is rumored for weeks the Redskins love Morgan and want to choose him at #36)

If Keim was still the GM, I'd see him thinking that Latu was a steal maybe in the latter half of the 1st Rd at #27. About that medical assessment, take it with a dash of salt. What does 'better than expected' mean to me? That the reviewer misjudged something in the assessment in the first place. The player's health hasn't changed. Only the opinions changed for a handful of medical assessment reviewers.

However if Latu was gone, I would select Cooper DeJean at #23. In WF's latest Mock today, they have the Bears picking Latu at #9 and Odunze falls to the Cards at #11. It is widely thought the Bears go edge or Odunze at #9.

The Bears will make a big splash with #1 and #9 on April 26th. I think the GM will pair Williams and a tall WR such as you suggested. Odunze would fit in with a bunch of teams (Cards?). We'll see how high he goes Thursday.

Adam Schefter this morning on ESPN:
“Ossenfort has told teams around the league that have inquired about trading up that he wants to wait until he is in position to pick before agreeing to any trade.
A team always could try to outbid the market and lock in the selection now, but it’s difficult to give up the haul of compensation it would take without knowing exactly which quarterbacks will be available. And so Ossenfort is sitting, in the eyes of one coach, “in the catbird seat.” The coach explained: “He sits at [No.] 4 and can take all the calls he wants.””
I expect some teams wanted a deal in place and he knows what a few of them are willing to give up. But it makes most sense to see what happens with picks #1-3. If Maye falls, for example, the #4 value might go up. I’ll be watching for the moment the NFL makes their decision public regarding Atlanta tampering to land Cousins. This decision could come just before the draft, like our Eagles tampering punishment last season, and could give the Vikings a stronger hand to tip the scale on a trade. Some have suggested the NFL forcing Atlanta and the Vikings to switch picks #8 and #11. If we could land #8, #23 and a future 1st or 2nd that is far more attractive than #11, 23 and a future, as it very likely lands us a top 3 WR.

If Vikings get the tampering and land at 8. We would only get 8 and 23. No future one. That’s very attractive indeed. Odunze still probably there, Alt, Turner several great options.

What's he got to lose by doing that?
