Many experts expect us to do the Vikings trade (11,23 plus 2025 pick) or just stick and pick (which I personally want). Hear many Cards fans hate 11 because outside the top 10. Well there is plenty there, we have almost the entire defensive pool to choose from. Murphy II should be there top DL, whichever corner you would desire, any edge except Dallas Turner, Brian Thomas 6-3” 210 Lbs, 4.33 speed,17 TD senior season at LSU.
There is speculation that Rome Odunze will fall to Bears at 9 and Cards to trade down to 9 with Bears. Bears pick up 11 plus 3rd round. So, if we pass on MHJ it’s not all doom and doom. Plus we have that sweet no 23 coming up.

Radioheads said it best. If its just 11 and 23, MHJ seems like the better pick at 4. If the Vikings offer a additional 1st on top of that or we dont have MHJ there and they offer a 2nd/3rd, then its more of a no brainer to make the trade.
For old school fans, this seems like the classic "Bryan Johnson and Calvin Pace Versus Terrell Suggs" argument.

It appears so far that Monti loves picks and to wheel and deal. I have much more faith in this new talent evaluation then in the old Cardinals, George Boone style drafts.

I dont mind Cards staying pat and drafting MHJ. But I also understand this is a full rebuild and there are a lot of spots to fix. Its a tough spot to be in. Get a potentially high quality player who could be a big contributor to your team. Or trade down and get several opportunities for players to be contributors at different positions, just maybe not have that high of a ceiling as MHJ. I will say this, if they stand pat and pick MHJ at 4, alot of pressure to make it work.

Is he worth holding onto #4, assuming he's available, and calling his number at that spot, or rolling the dice with NYG and flipping #4 and #6, and still getting Harrison? The Draft is a big gambling machine. I said in another thread that I expect this Draft to break all records for trades. The Cardinals should be in the thick of the action early.

I exposed Suggs free agent signing on here years ago. Now he is in real life trouble. Its a shame it turned out this way.
