Jeremiah's latest big board keeps Williams at #1, and MHJ at #2, but moves my guy Rome Odunze up to #3. Nabers is #4, Maye #5, my guy Daniels at #6, Bowers #7, and Alt #8. The next WR, Brian Thomas Jr, lands at #17.
Here’s the write up on Odunze:
“Odunze is a big, athletic wideout with exceptional hands. He can play outside or in the slot. He is refined and polished in everything he does on the field. He uses a variety of releases at the line of scrimmage and is a clean route runner. He uses his strength to lean into defenders before separating out of the break point. He thrives in traffic, possessing the ability to pluck the football and absorb big shots over the middle of the field. He makes some incredible adjustments on poorly thrown balls. He tracks naturally over his shoulder. After the catch, he is very tough to bring down and has some nifty make-miss ability. He plays with a ton of passion and energy. Overall, Odunze is a complete player and reminds me of Larry Fitzgerald coming out of college.”

And it shows how close the big 3 WR’s are. In DJ’s mind at least. Jeremiah also called Odunze his “favorite player in the draft”. www.spokesman.com/stories/2024/mar/08/commentary-what-a-friendship-with-a-boat-captain-s/I really encourage board members to read history and watch interviews with MHJ, Nabers and Odunze. www.si.com/college/washington/football/odunze-checks-a-lot-of-boxes-heading-into-nfl-draft

Odunze I have come around to the Lsu tiger I have not. If we trade down to 11 forget it you will not get the top three IMHO. I believe there is a big difference in the top two which for me is Odunze and Mhj. I say that because the Bills let their best wr go to the Texans they gathered enough they are gonna move up in the trade. There is a huge demand for Qb's and Wr's if we hope to have a number wr do not trade with the vikings unless JJ is in the deal. I hate to think like we did with the texans well next year they will be bad thinking the same about the vikings next years number 1. If we trade past Nyg I think it is a big mistake. If MO doesn't hit on picks when trading and MHJ lights it up MO will get lit up, Especially if our Wr's blow.

Make the Giants believe they have to beat offers from the Vikings and a few other teams like Denver and Vegas. Then take #6, #47 and change (#70 or 107?) Edit: and I should be clear on Daniels. I wouldn’t take him #2 or #3, but I thought he’d be a perfect backup for Kyler with our second rounder due to similar play style (wouldn’t have to change the playbook at all) and the very real possibility he could develop past Kyler and be our QBOF, allowing us to choose the best of them in 2025 or 2026 and trade the other. I still feel Nix wouldn’t have been the worst pick at #35 until we grabbed our QB2 in FA.
