Cardinals would have these picks/possible players in the top 104 of the draft: - #8 - Rome Odunze WR Washington
- #23 - Byron Murphy JR DT, Texas
- #27 - Nate Wiggins CB Clemson
- #35 - Latu Edge, UCLA, Chop Robinson Edge Penn State or Darius Robinson Edge Missouri
- #66 - WR2 - Pearsall, Polk, Roman Wilson, Corley, J. Burton - Alabama, B. Rice - USC (of course if by #66, there are 3+ of these guys available, Monti could trade back 7-12 spots and get an extra 4th).
- #90 - Zak Zinter Guard Michigan
- #104 - Jaylen Wright RB, TN 5'11" 210 lbs Avg 7.4 Yds/Carry and ran a 4.38 40 at combine [JC's replacement after 2024]
Nice spread and with the number of higher end picks we have this time, then we should be able to cover a lot of bases. My concern within your list is Zak Zinter at Guard. Is he going to be playing in 2024? - I would wish address this position higher! Zak Zinter article -- 90% healed and says in another month or so "he will be cleared to do everything" - Zak Zinter recovering quickly from Injury

I don't think Minnesota will pay the asking price some here are suggesting. I think you get the two first rounds picks and next years third or they sit tight and take who falls to them. The obvious trade down spot is the Giants if they trade out. Heck Minnesota might draft two Qb's lol. Go look at the draft capital traded in the Trey Lance deal (almost identical to the Vikings trading up to Cardinals) and then look at the Sam Darnold draft trade which is very close to what the Giants would need to give up and move up 2 spots to #4. My goodness the Vikings made TWO big decisions showing every NFL team they want and need to draft a QB in 2024 - 1) Decided not to pay Kirk Cousins $40 - $45M/yr and move on & 2) Traded with the Texans to acquire an additional 1st round selection. BTW - some feel the Vikings would have never made the deal with Texans to get #23 if the approximate parameters for a trade up to #4 hadn't already been discussed. Vikings are stuck because they've already made their move early pre-draft and cannot afford to not get a QB. The good thing for Monti and Cardinals is JJ McCarthy's draft stock is skyrocketing. One other thing driving the absolute need for Vikes to get their QB in 2024 is that the 2025 QB draft class is rated poor by most scouts. The Vikings GM and HC will not have jobs if they don't get a competent QB until 2026 If the Vikes wait to "sit tight and take who falls to them" - they will then be left with injury-prone Penix at #11 or I guess they could go with Spencer Rattler in Rd #3 ??

Yeah but for the fourth rated Qb in the draft, I think someone is gonna say we might as well sit where we are and let one fall to us if we can't get up and take who we really want.

Safest move is to try and get Giants #6, #47 and maybe #107 for #4. Might still get the WR we wanted at #4, plus get a valuable 2nd rounder and with #107 will get one of our top 100 on our board. I don’t think the Chargers will take Harrison, but they might, as they let all their top WR’s go. If Chargers take Alt, we could land Harrison/Nabers/Odunze (our top WR), #27, #35, #47, #66, #71, #90, #104 and #107…our top target plus 8 more players in our top 100 draft board. That would be a ridiculous haul, plus four more picks to go. It’s my opinion rn, but I think Nabers is the best overall WR in this draft and Odunze and MHJ are the best FOR US. As of right now I’d be thrilled with any one of them as our WR1. The NYG owner said publicly that he wants a QB from this Draft. Did MIN also advertise their desire to jump the line and grab a QB? The MIN brain trust is silent as far as I can tell. However their fanbase is screaming options. This article, below, lays down numerous scenarios for MIN to draft their QB. A juicy one includes the Cardinals moving out of #4 and having "3" first rounders in 2024. www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/nfl-draft-trade-scenarios-how-vikings-can-get-qb-they-want#11, #23, #108, #129 AND next year’s 1st rounder? SOLD!

As I have mentioned several times, I don't know much about college players. What I know about them mainly comes from the posters here....and frankly, I value that more than professional pundits. For instance, in the beginning MHJ seemed to be the obvious choice. Over time some here have moved away from that and would prefer a trade down depending on what we can get. Just reading in between the lines of various comments, I think that may be the best way to go. I'm a believer that the more draft spots you have, the better, especially top 100. We need a star receiver, but what one is going to be best or near best. Judging from the comments here, we don't know. Let's not forget, we have Michael Wilson drafted last year. He had a slow start, but he was a rookie and was looking pretty good at the end of the year. The point of my post. This is going to be one of the most interesting drafts in some time. There may be at least a dozen different scenarios at what we might do with the number 4 draft spot. Even the year when we had the #1 draft spot and drafted Murray, there wasn't that many things that might actually happen. It's only about 4 weeks away and it's going to be fun, I can't wait and see what all here will be saying when it's said and done.....lol

If we don't come out of this draft with either MHJ, Odunze or Nabers, I will consider it an epic fail.

What day is it today? April Fools Day!

I can tell you where I'm at right now myself. I'm ready for the draft. I've done hundreds of mock draft. I've read dozens of articles about the possibilities for the Cardinals this year. I'm tired of waiting.
