It is interesting that Cris Simms brought up that Nabers and Thomas are better than MJH in press and ability to blow by any CB they face and what they do after the catch. Also that Thomas is faster and cuts better in routes.
Thomas is the tallest of the three and can play every WR position and as good in the slot as outside Cris Simms is not the only analyst who has stated Thomas is every bit as good as MHJ and may be better currently and a higher ceiling than MHJ.
MHJ is a solid top 10 WR and may not be a top 5 quality WR. That being said...this reality could give Monti the motivation to not overpay and take a trade down with a team who is willing to over pay.
Some may value or like other WRs in this draft over Thomas...my thought is take a tradedown of high value and make sure Nabers or Thomas is drafted in the desert.

He has a limited route tree vs Nabers. I don't care what Simms says...he's not as good as MHJ.
That said, he would probably be a good WR for us. K1 has a nice deep ball, and I think Thomas and his height can capitalize on that.

If Monti can pull off Murphy and Thomas in the 1st or Fuaga and Thomas...yes please. The kicker and trifecta is if Monti could get two 1sts in 2024 for #4...Murphy, Thomas and Robinson or Fiske. I saw some more talk about Paris going to Left and Williams is playing right...if true one of the better RTs in 2024 seems more logical. I wonder if Hayes is still a LG option or Gaines and if Monti gets a top RT...Williams could be a security at LG if that can not be improved in the 2024 draft.

K1 has a nice deep ball, and I think Thomas and his height can capitalize on that. He said Nabers is better, but shorter and on the upside built like a RB at 6'. Thomas and Nabers better at press, faster and better ability to blow by coverage and better at cutting in routes and MJB more nuanced at his route running and MHJ made some receptions difficult that Nabers and Thomas would have blown by the coverage and had easy catches. He wasn't trashing MHJ his point was Nabers is the best in this draft and MHJ compared to other top 5 WRs in recent history doesn't have the explosiveness or run after the catch. He likes MHJ and thinks he will be successful in the NFL, but lacks some of the big play ability currently that Nabers and Thomas currently have. The gap in these three isn't huge and all three are low risk flops.

Simms has been absurdly wrong..several times.

The more tape I watch of Brian Thomas, the more I'm intrigued by trading back and taking him first, instead of MHJ. There's just so much WR talent in this class and I don't see much drop off between the top WRs. Heck, Brian Thomas might end up being better than MHJ. He played much tougher competition and he offers the mismatch oppty that Kyler needs given BT's size.

McBride was effective with Kyler because he's tall and they can see each other. I like the 6 4 height of MHJ. I look at also getting along and Divaism, pouting, attitude, leadership. Which one of those big 3 in Thomas, Nabors, MHJ is going to be able to get off press coverage, have a good attitude, avoid pouting/diva behavior. And how is Kyler Murray's leadership going to be with them? For a while Bowers seemed like the safest pick but the speed at outside wr is just so great. It really sticks out like get a blue chip wr.

Let’s put a match to this bonfire and watch it burn. Actually it was Vikings that threw the gasoline and I threw match!

If the right trade package for the 4th pick comes along, Monti needs to decide if MJH is a clear cut, can't miss, future generational HOFer that most draft scouts claim. I'm not so sure that he is that far of a superior talent over his draft position contemporaries. Remember the 2021 WR draft: CD Lamb, Henry Ruggs III and Jerry Jeudy were expected to go in the top 10 as can't miss guys. Justin Jefferson is better than all of them and was selected #22 by the Vikes. Just sayin'...
