www.bettingodds.com/us/news/sources-arizona-cardinals-lay-off-multiple-staff-members-including-cfo-and-other-execsMade a record 83 million last year off of operating revenue of 500 million. He took great pride in not laying off anyone during COVID, but now with record profits have let go many staff who worked 6-7 days a week. The Cardinals have also set up a call center to get more season ticket sales. (which has risen anywhere from 25-40 percent the last couple of years) Is this to pay for KK and Keims ridiculous contracts or is this just normal operating status for a major company? I don't know.

If this second link is more factual than the first link above, it would appear to show that organizational cleanup involves more than the team's players and coaches. Also, more bodies have been added than removed from the staff overall of late. Increasing and maintaining ticket sales makes business sense, too.
Evidently they have moved business only functions to that separate building, which seems logical; since they are not directly related to daily team activities and space in the original team and practice areas could presumably be better used for direct team functions.
Overall, not that unusual for any business when shuffling of personnel is done seeking improvement, efficiency or space.
IMHO

Thanks for the added perspective for members. Facts matter. I also concluded that the business assessment started last summer 2023 resulted in this restructuring. The ESPN 'investigation' into grumpy people is hardly journalism and has nothing in common with the restructuring. This type of change at the Cardinals franchise is routine outside the 32 NFL teams. I read that 40 new staff were hired and more staff will be added on the business side. This doesn't sound like a cheapskate operation to me.

At the other end of billionaire's row, the $9,000,000,000 valued Cowboys and Mr. Jones NFL-related businesses generated the most NFL team revenue at $1.1 billion and an operating income of $500 million in 2023. Cardinals fans should be happy with their tiny costs to support the local team. It costs a lot more to be a Cowboys fan. Continual national "embarrassment" also is a cost to Cowboys fans. I have no way to answer the contracts question. Consider that the NFL will put about $250M CAP dollars in every NFL owners pocket to pay player contracts in 2024.
