Either this is the best Senior Bowl roster ever, or the media is doing a fantastic job of promoting 100+ of the nation's best American football athletes. 1 of 2 Kickers got a blue ribbon! Yea! Ossenfort and Gannon are salivating! Also...despite having Nix and Penix here...they were both considered underwhelming. Not a great week of practice drills.

OL from Kansas Puni who played LT in 2023 and LG in 2022 who is solid and great size and strength, shows off his versatility laying C during the game.
DT Fiske has a fast first step and solid performer, also changes teams when asked.
Mizzu has had some great showings
Jarrin Jones CB a great showing who allowed a passer rating in 2023 of only 25. Another FSU stud DB. Great SR Bowl week

The Senior Bowl was a sellout today. Some players (Penix, et al) sold out thousands of fans by deciding to take a pass on the game itself. Was there any offense at all?
Who can blame these guys for ducking the game and half-stepping on plays with the flag football rules? Future fat contracts with an NFL team go out the window with one bad ding or bad play.

I watch the game pretty intently as I wanted to see how the Mizzou players did. It's already been mentioned that the Mizzou defensive lineman had a really good week and game. Cody Schrader looked okay but he didn't get as many touches as the little running back from TCU and I can't remember his name. That guy in my opinion should have been the most valuable player. Other takeaways.. Hartman the quarterback of Notre Dame looked horrible. Since they had the defensive tackle Fisk switch teams I wonder why they didn't switch at least one receiver. With a national team only having three wide receivers on their game day roster I think that definitely curtailed their offense cuz those guys were gassed early.
I was very disappointed that Brandon Ross chose not to play. Especially considering that he's projected to go in the third or maybe even the fourth round in the draft this would have been a good chance for him to improve his draft stock. Because he did not play I moved him down a notch on my big board. I believe when you have an opportunity you take it. It's a common explanation for players not playing in their bowl games or in this case the Senior bowl and sometimes they don't work out at the combine but they almost always have workout sessions at their University were NFL scouts show up to watch. Seems kind of horse crappy to me. I may get the concern is you can get injured then you can get injured during a personal workout. So I'd like to rather see a guy go all in or not do anything at all. Like Caleb Williams for example I understand that he has nothing to gain by doing any workouts whatsoever so if I were him I would not but a guy like Brendan rice and my personal opinion should definitely played in the super bowl and he should compete at the combine including running the 40 and of course he's going to do the quote unquote private workouts. Anyway that's my Nichols worth... I'm old school and I want guys on my roster that love to compete

Thanks for your two links... I have to confess, I'm a little disappointed there has not been more comments about this game. As said before, I know next to nothing about college players. But many people here do. I was looking forward to what the more knowledgeable people here would have to say. Perhaps it's because this game is starting to be more like the pro bowl where many don't even bother to show up or don't play up to their abilities if they do. You tell me. From your two links. There was one thing that I was kind of tickled about. "In terms of name value, the 2024 Senior Bowl class might have been the best in recent memory. Bo Nix, Michael Penix Jr., Sam Hartman and Joe Milton III were household names coming into the week, with many starts in college football. Unfortunately, none were consistent, and it was a disappointing week for the quarterbacks. But the one quarterback who shone during the week was Spencer Rattler. After a rocky college football career, Rattler did everything he needed to improve his draft stock. His teammates voted him the top quarterback on the American team, and it wasn't particularly close. He had a fantastic week of practice, which certainly translated to the game."The only reason I bring this up is silly but still kind of interesting. A couple of months ago when we were talking about AI. I asked an AI who we should draft. Long story short, Spencer Rattler was mentioned. Now I know nothing about him...or the others really. I just find it funny that the AI chose him for us.....maybe we should pay more attention to what this AI stuff says....lol

Rattler did have a good week and will probably go somewhere between 90-125 in the draft. I am awaiting WF's Stock Up/Stock Down report which they will assemble after talking with scouts of teams post-Senior Bowl week.

Why are people surprised at Rattler's talent? The kid always had talent. He left OU because he wasn't mentally tough and fans had him crying. Did South Carolina toughen him up emotionally enough to handle NFL fans? I don't know. Brendan Rice intrigues me if he tests well. We might not have to go WR early on if he does. I'm starting to get interested in Quinyon Mitchell.

Rice and Luke McCaffrey are going to be good in the NFL no matter how they test athletically. The Western Kentucky WR is impressive.( Corley) One WR I want to see his athletic measurements is Hayden Hatten, he had a solid college career. Pearsall is another WR option climbing draft boards

They keep praising the Oregon center, but is it just me or does he look fat? I also wonder if he can play outside Oregon type system. I just don't recall most centers being that big. It's fine if it's muscle.
