AZ @ SF... Is it time for purdy to have his reg season win streak stopped? YES stop the streak. Can the Cardinals do it? The 49ers are not unbeatable. So, I'll bet five cents.

AZ @ SF... Is it time for purdy to have his reg season win streak stopped? I keep saying that there HAS to be a reason why someone is drafted LAST in a given draft…did 31 other NFL teams just miss on him for (7) consecutive rounds? Or is this simply the ability of Shanahan to game plan and scheme to his strengths and away from his weaknesses? The 49ers are a deep and talented team. But they will only go as far as Purdy takes them. If a DC is able to counter scheme against what he does well…the 49ers will be in a close game…Grappolo could only take them so far before Shanahan soured on him. Purdy is in the same boat IMO.

Cmc was a great pickup for them and really helps game plan for Qb's and a coach like Shanahan. I would love to beat them and send another message to the league but back to back games against the Cowboys and 49ers is asking a lot. I guarantee you teams will not take us lightly anymore if the cowboys did. I think we straight up outplayed and coached the cowboys.

Playing hard wins over talent not playing hard is the press talk after Cowboy win. Dobbs and Wilson in press conferences are attributing success to great leadership and closeness of players.
This week in SF the truth will become more clear. Was this an anomaly? TBD
Funny thing many are passing over with all of the distractions is Dobbs mentioned in the SI article that the Cards diagnosed Cowboys defensive play to determine how to expose it’s flaws by moving the launch point of the QB and running route to void area in their defense…thus the wide open Wilson 2nd half catch. It wasn’t an emotional failure with Dallas’ injury to Diggs and an emotional let down with losing Diggs…the diagnosing of the way the Dallas defense plays was with or without Diggs. Exposing flaws in scheme can over come talent if the less talented team plays sound. The Card offense earned the right to push a big play in the Cowboy game in second half because the offense was playing sound opposed to the errors by players in the second half against the Giants.
One thing becoming clear…if Card players keep playing sound the coaches can scheme opportunities for the players to shine.
Why many in the press are wondering how Wilson was so open and the reality it was an exposing of a defense’s weakness by excellent scheming and players executing against known flaws.
Can the coaches find the flaws in SF’s scheme?

Can the coaches find the flaws in SF’s scheme? Wilson's route and run was showcased by the QBSchool guy on YouTube 9/25. He diagrams everybody on AZ O and DAL D, when they went to sleep, when the woke up, how JD saw it happen and then tossed the strike. Had JD hit Wilson 1-2 seconds sooner he would have scored an EZ TD. Wilson had to stop and wait for the ball to fall out of the SFS sky, he was that wide open. To your point Dobbs is not playing picture perfect…he is still finding out the timing and adjusting and improving each week. Later the Brown TD pass was another case of a bit late and the pass was a bit of a duck with a defender in his face, but the play was so solid in scheme structure the end result was a TD and more wide open than usual for a short TD pass. They schemed defense away from Brown. If Dobbs stays on the upward trend K1 will be encouraged to stay on the bench. Dobbs has played lights out and not on accident or him playing out of his mind or ability. Dobbs can clean several things up, but his footwork is solid and he has a strong arm and can run…as the game slows for him he can really shine. Coaching paired with the right player with the right ability and attitude can really shock the norm.
