Somebody explain to me how Kyler Murray is listed as the #1 QB after PS Game 1. Logic screams that he's not supposed to be on a depth chart list until he's cleared to play. Thank you in advance. Is JG/Rallis sending a message to some players ? Starting training camp, Cardinal fans would have assumed Lawrence/Cam Thomas were the teams' two best front 7 players ... yet Lawrence is 3rd on depth chart and Cam Thomas is not on first team and has high draft pick Ojulari right behind him. Also a message to rookie Michael Wilson who is behind vet Zach Pascal at WR opposite of Hollywood Brown. Additionally Josh Jones is listed behind Hump yet last week Beachum played LT before Jones. On the other hand, Cardinal fans should be encouraged that former 1st rounder LJ Collier is flashing in practice/game as his main issue with Seattle was his motor not being "hot" enough. So the fact Collier has moved to 1st team and the first guy to get in a fight at training camp possibly shows his attitude has become more professional. After I typed the above - I noted Darren Urban has a new article on azcardinals.com AND it is indeed on LJ Collier - LJ Collier comfortable with Cardinals and their coaching staff's schemes

CFQ, I think we are on the same page regarding the depth chart. Something is fishy here. I don't think the Holy Trinity (Gannon/Petzing/Rallis) would play mind games with the players. The team is trying to work together, not exploit each other. Mind games will cause reduced trust and miscommunication between the have's and have-nots. Remember the crap that Bruce Arians pulled with guys? I do. Additionally I just don't believe the depth chart we are looking at is the depth chart on the HC's wall in his office. The depth chart we are looking at is plain weird (KM #1, really?), and it might be a deceptive ploy to add uncertainty in the minds of other team's coaches and players.

Depth chart doesn't matter much until preseason is done.

Hump in press conference alluded to the fact that when players are on the field…even preseason they want to win.
It will be interesting to see how Cards show or play against KC.
