Welcome Everyone To Game Week 2
The Cardinals Opponent: The Kansas City Chiefs
This game is being played at State Farm Stadium
Date: Saturday Night August 19th Kickoff is at 8:00 pm
Hi Cardinals Fans, Chiefs fans and NFL fans from all around the World,
Last season, these two same teams met on 9/11/22 to kickoff
their respective regular NFL seasons in 2022. The Kansas City Chiefs
went on to dominate that game 44-21. This second preseason
game may not mean much to the average NFL fan. However;
if you are a young NFL player trying to make he final 53 man roster
this game means a lot. It also could mean a position on the practice squad.
As of Saturday night, the Chiefs have yet to play their first preseason game.
Sunday 8/13, The Chiefs travel to New Orleans to play the Saints with a 1pm kickoff.
The Chiefs have several players ruled out for the game vs The Saints
. This includes DT Chris Jones who is holding out.
The Cardinals come in to the game Saturday night fresh off
an inspiring win Friday vs the Denver Broncos. Several players
shined during the night. Zaven Collins showed he could pressure
the QB and was disruptive along the defensive line. Dante Stills
the last Cardinal player selected in this year's NFL draft had
what could be termed a very successful game 1 tackle 2 assists
Stills put pressure on QB Russell Wilson as well.
On offense, Cardinals' QB Clayton Tune was 13/23 for 135 yds
along with a TD and an interception that was not of his making.
Look for RB Ty'Son Williams to get some more looks come Saturday
vs the Chiefs. He had a productive night as a runner 10 carries for 51 yards.
In the past, these two teams would meet every preseason for the Governor's
Cup of Missouri. This was back in the days of the St. Louis Cardinals. One
can only hope that these two teams meet in the Super Bowl where it all counts.
Have a great week! More to come on Game Week
