Rim,
Big house! Poured cement with REBAR? That wall will last 100,000 years or more in an arid climate. Maybe bury a personal time capsule (sealed glass) and be famous again in the future.
Mike is probably thrilled about his 'Boys this morning. That was a squeaker v. the lowly Giants. Could have been embarrassing too.

That's a lot of earth to hold back. 18-20' high? The wall footing also must be massive. As a masonry expert, I'm sure you know construction risks. I helped my pa build a normal size Midwest rancher with a basement in the 70s. We did not account for the moisture in the clay soils. Many years later during a severe Illinois drought, the soil to a depth of at least 10' deep literally shrank causing all kinds of basement and walls settling problems and cracks. Pa should have used several dozen pilings. Lesson learned.

yeah PUTMEIN there are all kinds of measure taken to offset the expansive soil issue...the footing themselves are 14' wide and 2' thick with keyways Etc...it goes on and on...and yes it retains 25' off backfill...i`ll take a shot of the details and post it
ZAZ you are not the `1st to asl if Mexico was paying for it...lol,,i actually sent The Donald-ed a bid for 1800 miles of it...My bid was 20 Billion...lol
