I’ve followed Mike Florio for forever, and he’s very political. In 2010 when Arizona passed the Arizona SB 1070 law, which was the strictest anti-illegal immigration law in the country at the time, I noticed Florio go off the deep end against all thing Arizona, and being in the position he is, the Cardinals for whatever reason caught the brunt of his ire. Since then, year after year, his reports on all things Cardinals are tainted. He’s on a big kick right now acting like the Gannon draft penalty for talking to the Cardinals too soon is some kind of NFL Watergate and he’s the “journalist” who is going to keep digging until he reveals the scandal.

BRF and DH,
Agreed.
One frequent criticism of media is that reporters manufacture controversy where none exists to sell newspapers, boost TV ratings, rack up online page views, and/or raise their status on social media. Our computer clicks and the minutes spent glued to Mike Florio's shows generate huge personal income from the advertisers' dollars.
Mike Florio does not have it in for the Cardinals and the fans. He roughs up everyone. See the online news for the past five or so years. His so-called enemies list is long. And, it would not surprise me at all if we learn someday that Florio pays sources for some of the background information. I wish I could check Terry McDonough's IRS forms next year. Did PFT pay TM for Cardinals insider info? BTW, paying for info (dirt) is not illegal.
Mike Florio is the co-owner and creator of the PFT program. His business is selling potions and gossip to fans. He promotes himself. He demands fans pay for his words and ideas. He creates entertainment for the bored masses. That's what circus hucksters do.

Journalists reporting on the worst franchise in sports is not shocking.
The Cardinals are their worst enemy not Florio.
LOL………..
Like I predicted his article is pointing out exactly what I said.
No high profile QB will ever come here due to the ineptitude of this owner and franchise.
Williams won’t come here if we have the number 1 pick.

Some fans are focused on Caleb, not me. As I keep saying, individual players come and go. I will also have more interest when and if it is an actual possibility. To jump to any conclusions now is way out there, IMO.
Like DryHeat I see this as an opportunity for haters of anything Cardinals to push Cardinal hatred and I put no weight in their opinions. It just confirms Mike as to being a “D” bag as per the Cardinals and maybe the entire state of AZ.

Amazingly a mock draft for 2024 has FIVE (5) QB's picked in the top 10 including my "sleeper" QB - KJ Jefferson Arkansas [Faster/Bigger Jalen Hurts 2.0]. The QB's were Caleb Williams, Maye, Ewers, KJ Jefferson & Penix.

It is a difficult choice on who is the best QB option in the 2024 draft until the season ends. Some players like Harrison, barring a injury should live up-to projections. Hope that K1 finds a way to live up to his extension, but there are things working against that. Cards are in better position to resolve many systemic issues of the past, despite outsiders trying to cast shade on the team. Monti has proven true to what his plan is in his introductory press conference and has displayed skills as a GM instead of shooting from the hip. The self-admitted ignorance of GM duties by SK was a telling admission.

Florio has as just as much insight as any of us. Take it with a grain of salt. We have no clue what the plan is, just speculating.

But my question is more in general, if the Cardinals end up with the number 1 pick next draft, do you think they should move on from KM and draft a QB or just keep KM and draft top talent and continue to surround him? Obviously we have no clue how 2023 goes, they might not even get a top 5 picks, Houston might also have a good year as well. I guess my question was just to see the fans feelings about keeping or moving on from KM, period.

At this point K1’s contract or cap hit per year isn’t terrible if he is very productive and available to play. I am not opposed to taking a top rookie QB in 2024 with the 3 QB roster change and seeing Niners burn through QBs is a wake up call with the extended regular season that each team may need 2 starter quality QBs. I want K1 success, but there are obstacles to overcome for sure. How Tune or Blough actually play in 2023 also plays into K1’s future in AZ. I am confident that Monti will access the QB room each year, he has a hands on approach on players and how they are meshing with the coaches and the team’s approach. I will wait to see how things work out with an open mind to different scenarios as per the QB room. I have not written K1 off. Thanks for sharing the Caleb thoughts and asking what others think about K1, they are relevant thoughts. I know Putmein was getting tired of the Nuk story and he has a point about Nuk is gone now so…end of discussion, but Tune, Blough, and K1 are on roster and even Caleb could be in future plans. We all have thoughts, but many of these things just need to work themselves out in time.

All of the above are logical and pertinent thoughts.
As to K1 or any #1 QB of the Cardinals, I agree with those who say that we (or any team) should draft a QB every year as a standard practice. I am talking later rounds - or even UDFAs if there are any with promise.
We have seen how quickly team fortunes can change with the loss of even one leading QB, and how premium players can follow the money - both as
lessons to be learned and countermeasures to be taken as a result.
Putting the team's success on the back of one player is not good, and to a
large degree that is what we have done with K1. Have we learned from that mistake to provide nearly equal capacity backup in the future? I am hoping
Tune will show that he is capable and ready to fill the void, if Brough cannot. I have little faith in Driskel, but am willing to be shown otherwise.
The Cardinals must identify, draft and develop their own talent to be successful in the long term. That is something which has been lacking for a long time, but there are indications we may be moving in the right direction - finally. Another good draft year should make loads of difference in later years.
IMHO

Mike "I was a lawyer" Florio is constantly full of himself and his crappy takes. Pay no mind to that fraudster.
