Hmm Ed oliver for Dandre Hopkins ? I have seen it and heard in several pretty reliable circles to which I am not at liberty to make known sorry.
Well I guess other circles are thinking about the rumors.

That comes with its own set of problems. For starters, the Bills wouldn’t exactly be dealing from a position of strength after their GM admitted the team expects more from Oliver. Of course, it only takes one of the 31 other GMs to see the flashes from Oliver and convince himself that his team’s coaching staff has the key to unlocking Oliver’s consistency. Even if that were to happen, both sides would need to agree on the proper compensation. The Bills are not a rebuilding team, so moving Oliver for draft capital is a huge risk. For that move to be worth it, Beane would have to land a rookie starter. Not even Kaiir Elam, last year’s first-round pick, was able to consistently be that for the Bills. A player-for-player trade could make sense, but it would require the right partner and would have to fill a specific need for the Bills.”

OMG his contract, dear lord no Yeah the team that trades for him has to pay him because he is an UFA next year. Many teams might not have the cap space next year though. I seriously would not be against it then the Cardinals can stay at the 3 spot and pick whoever or trade down. pick whatever lineman they want with the first two picks or pick a great RB and a lineman. you can build around Oliver and not Hopkins. I hated even thinking this.

I love the idea of a 25 yr old 9th pick Dline player who hasn’t been a bust. But he hasn’t been what you want from a #9 pick either, and I’m afraid he is too small to ever be much more than what he is now. His stats don’t justify a huge second contract but I bet that’s what he’d want as a high former first rounder.
Gannon would REALLY have to believe he will become a better player, and the Bills don’t seem to if they want this trade.
I’d much rather get a 2024 1st rounder from a middle talent team. Equal to a current second rounder in points. Then we can pick our own first rounder, develop him ourselves, and have him cheap 4-5 years.

I hated even thinking this. The threads today are like groundhog's day. With being on last year of a contract of over $10M Oliver has no value in trade outside 1 year rental on a DL in the 60”s rating of PFF. This is the sportswriter wanting his team to get Nuk for nothing. No different than Breer NE’s mouthpiece saying Nuk’s market is soft. Lies and bad ones at that. With the value of WRs and what Nuk can do for a team who is making a serious SB run a 3rd and change is a bargain and Monti is asking a 2nd and change. The Oliver trade value is maybe a 6th for a team in need of a DL and wins. In 2023 AZ doesn’t need wins, AZ needs young players for the future and several players on short term cheap contracts. The inflated Oliver contract puts him out of AZ’s consideration. Nuk has a $30M Cap hit in 2023 and $25.5M cap in 2024 and AZ is on hook for $10.5M in 2023 and $10.5M in 2024 of those cap costs so trade partner gets a #1 older WR with AZ on the hook for $21M of the $55,5M 2 year contract. That is about $17.25M per year for the ones not gifted with math skills. Nuk has also agreed on team of his liking to rework his contract so a GM with creative cap skills can add void years and convert some to bonus to reduce cap hit as low as $5M in 2023 with added void years. A second isn’t out of line for Nuk and Monti may settle for a bit less, however the Bills better throw at least a 3rd to 4th with Oliver and more AZ isn’t in Cap problems currently and don’t need an expensive mediocre DT on a 1 year rental.

He ranked somewhere around 27th out of 67 DT's that played. He had a few injuries that he had to over come but seems to be going the right direction. DT in most schemes does not get the glory the edge rushers do he does the dirty work. I think he would help the D if you are gonna move Hopkins for a 3rd. He is gonna break out and like I said a 3rd or Oliver give me Oliver everytime.

If he had a couple of years on rookie contract and production was better he would have trade value. Another Strong signing is better at least both parties are in agreement instead of getting a team’s player who is over paid and going into FA in 2024

I would be all over Ed Oliver for Nuk if Ed Agreed in principle to a 3 year contract extension, that Monti and him were agreeable with. He has been available and missed almost no games so far in his career and more productive than Z Allen. He would have to want to be in AZ.

Yes, but it would have to be a contract in line with his performance the last four years, not some imagined potential. He’s a decent Dlineman who should not have been picked #9 when the hype was that Aaron Donald store guys could be repeated.
