earlier I had an optimistic posts on how the cards COULD beat rams. imho the defense will play much better but I honestly don't see sam doing much different-he looked scared and seemed to be very concerned about holding the ball long enough for pass plays to work. so I say again, IF cards lose at rams and bears its time for rosen. I think he is mentally tough enough to not lose confidence when team doesnt win much...get him ready for next year.

If the Team can hang on for even 2 qtrs sunday at LA., like the Raiders did, it will be something to build on.
But...., if they play the same in the 1st half like they did against the Skins, it could be another 58-0 Seattle type drubbing. And the roof will cave in.

At what point does a team just go for a top 5 pick?

I imagine anything less than 4 wins by week 13. By then you still have a chance to go 8-8.

At this point in time, we are not a good team. One week later, we are not suddenly going to be giant killers. However, I'm hoping for improvement. I think/hope we will see it. It won't be enough for a win, but if we see more first downs, more WR's contribute, and better run defense. I will have hope for the future. We were embarrassed last week. We are going to see how much metal/pride our team has. We don't need to win, but we need to show we are not bums....maybe not so much for us, but for the whole team's mentality.

DC Holcomb called all D plays. He got schooled. Rookie DC lumps. OC McCoy called all O plays. He got schooled too. Which is Really Bad considering his background. To the Coaches; This is Not the Panther's or Chargers roster, this is the Cards Roster. Play to the rosters' strengths not it's weaknesses. What background? The one where he has been garbage ever since he’s not Peyton’s lackey anymore? Fun fact: The last team to lose to the Browns was a Mike McCoy-coached team.

Just his experience alone should've made for a better showing. That's the context of his background. No more no less. If you've done a job for years you should have some knowledge of How to do it Right, one would think.

Interesting news.
Apparently the reason DJ wasnt in the 2nd half of last weeks game much wasnt because of the blowout, it was because he hurt his back. Has been "limited" on the injury report this week.
hurt his back huh. Gave him his tyrann extension 24 hours before Game 1. 1st half. Already getting injured. Awesome.

The play happened right in front of me. I was surprised he returned. Bradford came pretty close to retiring LF on a couple of his throws. If McCoy and Wilkes continue to let Bradford throw their two best players widow makers, it's hard to blame that on DJ.
