I wanted to share one offensive player and one defensive player from the FBS who are currently UDFA level Prospects who will translate well in the NFL.
Hadden Hatton Idaho WR 6'1" 209 LBs he has been a top WR the last two years and can play outside or slot. He is a wide-body WR who is very productive.
Alex Gubner Montana DL 6'2" 285 LBs he has been a top DL players for the last three years and is the top 3 as per speed as per IDL and can play edge to NT. He has a nose for the ball and has played many snaps without let up.
A little easier to project top prospects who have a solid chance in the NFL...are there little known prospects that others project will make an NFL roster?
Cardinalsins and Devogent have posted many prospects...myself, I watch a lot of FBS and there are others like OL prospects and several from SDSU in this draft and UNI DL Boyd, but I wanted share a couple many may have never heard of, but look to have a real chance of being solid in the NFL.
There is a CB from South Dakota a safety from North Dakota State...maybe close to 20 in the FBS this year who can make a NFL roster. The best nickel CB in the NFL is a former FBS player who is now a Bill.

Jalen Sundell OT North Dakota State. Later round guy to watch. I watched one of his playoff games in 2023…their OL wasn’t as good as many they have had. It isn’t a knock on him. OL relies on the guys next to them. He has the length at 6’5” and 300LBs Eli Moestaert DT 6’3” 290 LBs a 1 to 3 tech IDL is a force in the pass rush as well as a solid run stopper. He did have a broken leg in 2022, but is a solid DL prospect. SDSU (South Dakota State) OG McCormick may be one of the best FCS OL prospects in the draft. His sidekick at OT Greenfield 6’7” 320 LBs if he had better footwork he would be a beast. Gubner worked over the NDSU’s OL in that 2023 playoff game. FCS players are interesting…Boyd at DL looks to be a good prospect

The guys from Path to the Draft are fans of Sundell.

There was another 6’ er from Viillanova who I saw in the playoffs that was impressive. The kid from Villanova was more impressive at press and very physical in coverage being able to shadow the WR tight. The kid from South Dakota is better at off coverage.

I think kamal Hadden CB from Ten. is actually one of best outside CBs in the draft….he had by far the lowest QB rating in targets he covered in 2023. I thought he and Myles Harden would be great additions and have Harden as a safety eventually as he is a great tackler.

The information presented in these comments is exactly why if I were an NFL owner I would greatly expand the scouting department to look for the true gems in the rough or players at small time universities. If there's not any League rule against it then why not? However I would advise caution at over drafting these guys as we found out under Steve's tenure. The level of competition is a big factor. But there are for sure prospects out there that are completely overlooked by the draft gurus for one reason or another that would be great players. It's like panning for gold. You're usually not going to find a lot of nuggets in the first couple of pans you sort through.

Every team needs blue collar players who are role players with heart and some of the small schooll players will do whatever is asked of them. Dortch is a good example…plays hard….for little pay and happy.

Dortch is a good example…plays hard….for little pay and happy. Per OTC he is now getting $1.125 mil, but only this upcoming season. They show nothing in future years, which is surprising given how well he plays. Maybe analytics just does not show great yards etc. though he has been a clutch receiver in many games? I know he was making peanuts for his first years as a rookie, but maybe an extension has been promised. I would hate to lose his drive and guts, small as he may be. Speaking of small, he is one of the few who have played much bigger than his physical measurements - a real example for others of minimal NFL height and weight.
IMHO
