This is my dream scenario. Not a fan of trading back far so I would look at Giants only. Trade down 2 spots and get there #47. This guarantees a big 3 WR. Now start making calls to the Colts/Seachickens/Jags/Bengals about their mid 1st round picks. I offer #35 & #47 (980 pts) which is pretty even compensation (and throw in a 5 if needed). Next I start calling teams between picks #37-44 in the 2nd round and offer #66& 71 (490 pts)
Now I’m picking #6 and guaranteed 1 of the WRs I’m picking around #17 and taking BPA of IOL-IDL-Edge-CB Then I’m picking #27 and again taking BPA of the same positions also including WR and if we double up on a position so be it And then we are picking in the early middle 2nd rounder with same goals
This would give us 4 high picks and still getting MHJ/Nabors/Odynze

I'm with you. If Monti can cut a deal with the Giants, who apparently love Maye, and Monti still gets Harrison, then it's party time for Cardinals fans for Round 1. And there are still at least 6-7 picks to go in 3 rounds. A lot of good rookie talent will be wearing R/W next Sept. They then have to perform. Best always, EZ

I like you thoughts on #35 - #47 and getting another 1st rounder picking BEFORE the RAMS !! ... almost every mock now has the Rams at #19 picking Byron Murphy. I don't think it would be smart to call Seattle but certainly the Colts, Jags & Bengals might entertain this trade. Getting the #1 WR (MHJ) and the #1 DL (Byron Murphy) before the Cards have another pick at #27 -- that would make me extremely happy. Now -- since we are going for dream scenario here, I believe pick #27 is extremely valuable for a team wanting to move back into 1st round and get a desired player at need position. So assuming the Giants traded with us to get McCarthy or Maye at top of round 1, here are teams which could very well be interested in pick #27. - New England Patriots - Bills are picking at #28 and definitely will be going WR. Pats desperately need a WR to help out their new rookie QB. Pick #27 for #34, #103 and 2025 4th rounder.
- LV Raiders - NEED a QB and they seem to have interest in Penix - #27 for #44, #77 and 2025 3rd rounder
- Denver Broncos - NEED a QB and they can't afford to have Raiders jump them - #27 for #76 and Patrick Surtain All Pro CB.
The good thing with the Pats/Raiders is their 2025 pick should be a high one in that particular round.

Thanks-glad to be on board I been a reader on this board for years but never really posted anything. I’m have been a Cardinal fan since the mid 70’s in St Louis and now I live in the Dallas Ft worth area so as all good Card fans I really really hate the Cowpatties.
I just want to actually hit on our early picks here as Keim just seemed to miss consistently year after year
I say we take the Cowpatties approach as much as I despise them- just look at their top picks over the last 10-15 years. Maybe the best in the league and they have done it largely by taking BPA that has slipped in the draft (Lamb) as well as drafting the top interior linemen available at the end of the first or early second
They wanted a corner but he got taken and they end up with Parsons by not panicking
Just take the BPA every time in the early rounds need or not-if a OT falls that you have highly rated you take him even if you don’t “need” one. The best will find their way into the starting lineup

Just take the BPA every time in the early rounds need or not-if a OT falls that you have highly rated you take him even if you don’t “need” one. The best will find their way into the starting lineup "Always room for a good man" is solid business practice - but only IF you have a fairly solid group otherwise. We do not, presently. We have weak areas and too few solid backups to the good players we do have. Therefore, we are more or less forced to fill those holes with as many long term cheap and capable players as we can, as quickly as we can get them. Otherwise it could take much longer to become stronger, while paying premiums for fewer good FAs as the alternate. That is the advantage of having more picks in a draft which offers many quality players, like this year - an unusual draft with many quality players, not likely to repeat soon. There is risk in that of course, as one never can be sure whether rookies will prosper or fail, but it is a risk we must take for the present, and one which I feel has been the plan since the change in management. Welcome to the forum! IMHO

Posted on YouTube, 4 pm, April 19, 2024. HC Gannon and GM Ossenfort are interviewed by sports journalists. If a Forum member is expecting a GM magic act -- e.g., GM tipoff on player priorities, forget it. These two guys talk about the process only. And that is old news.
My takeaways from the interview: 1. The Warroom board is 98% final. the GM said, "The Hay Is In The Barn." There is 2% wiggle room for pop-up opportunities. 2. The GM did not get a solid offer for #4 yet, but he expects detailed offers to trickle beginning Wednesday, and definitely solid offers will come in all of Thursday right up to the start of the Draft at 8 pm ET. 3. The Draft decisionmaking is largely driven by the team's analytics department (AD). The scouts feed AD. Some situational decision-making occurs when the clock starts, but not much. Most pick scenarios are practiced so there are no surprises and fewer errors. 4. Gannon's speaking manner is scary. What he says while he is looking at the camera sends 2 messages -- he is choosing words carefully and hiding all cards. Ossenfort is nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs. He talks a mile a minute and says nothing of value about the Draft. He loves to talk about processes which is as exciting as watching grass grow.
I'm out of idioms so I'll stop there.

Knobby, I also noticed MO's jaw stubble. At first, I thought he's trying to send fans a signal that he's working many long hours. Thus, he has no time to shave. Not true. His scalp is smooth. He uses the razor plenty to manscape the growth. Probably for Mrs. Ossenfort's admiration.

Watching that video just made me marvel at the difference between these 2 guys and the last 2. It made me feel like we're light years beyond where we were.

Just did my dream draft, starting off accepting the Vikings “3 1sts” trade.
#11 Odunze was still there. I attempted a move up to #8 to land him and failed, but landed him anyway. #23 Edge Jared Verse fell to me #27 s/CB DeJean #35 C Powers-Johnson! Can’t believe any of these top four picks fell to these spots. #66 My WR crush Malachi Corley #71 Dline stud Braden Fiske #90 LB Jeremiah Trotter Jr. …now we’ve upgraded all three levels of the defense, our Oline and two incredible weapons for Kyler all in first 3 rounds! #104 RB Braelon Allen, one of my favorite Conner replacements and only 20 yrs old #138 TE Jared Wiley, super tall receiving tight end from TCU #162 OT Matt prospect Goncalves #186 CB Quan’tez Stiggers, more backfield help #226 TE Dallin Holker
Let’s go!
