Okay you guys are much better at this than I am. We have the fourth pick Marvin Harrison Jr sounds great but you simply can't win without a franchise quarterback and I'm now convinced Kyler Murray will never be that.
We have two first round picks can we trade Kyler Murray for a second?
Take that draft stock move up and grab our quarterback now who's the guy?
I always get that up down thing wrong whatever moves us from 4 to a better pick to get the quarterback of our dreams.

Quite frankly I'm thinking the LSU quarterback.
Tall mobile has the potential to be a superstar.
What's a you?
By the way it doesn't matter if this isn't even a possibility let's pretend it is what's your opinion?

Even with a legit franchise QB, this team still has a lot of holes. His contract is not very team friendly, so sit back, build around him and when the contract is team friendly see where the team is at. If K1 is not the guy, they can then move forward and go after that franchise QB. But IMO it's just too soon.

I'm not completely sold on the LSU kid, but I opined earlier this year, that both he and Nix would be good backups for Kyler who might be able to unseat him. Best part is you don't need to change the offense. That being said, even I know the chance of trading Kyler is 2% this year given his contract.

If you're going after the kid from LSU he won't be there at number 4. Bow next you could probably make a deal and trade your second first round pick and move up to get him.

But here we sit at number four. The one hole and the modern NFL world you won't win with is a franchise quarterback just ask the San Francisco 49ers. I know they go deep and they get close but they don't get over the hump because they don't have a franchise quarterback. And my God that team has everything else!

They lost because of coaching/not knowing OT rules, not to mention an OL screw up on critical down. San Fran was in position to win even without a guy like Mahomes. And SF has been consistently decent with subpar QBs for awhile. It's actually irritating given they have a history of having QBs like Montana and Young. Where's Karma?

The players didn't understand the overtime rules but the head coach knew. He clearly explained he wanted to rest his defense that spent the last several minutes on the field and was tired and regulation. He also felt the game was going to be even after two possessions and went with the strategy to make it sudden death with the third possession which would have been San Francisco's. You don't have to agree with that but he knew the rules and made his decision. And to say they don't win that game with the franchise quarterback quite frankly is just IMO is just wrong.

But if we don't make a change it probably doesn't matter odds are we will be picking the top five again next season.

You cannot compare the Cardinals team to the 49ers. The 49ers are a super bowl team and I mean they have the ability to get there. The Cardinals are nowhere near a super bowl team, not even a playoff team. Drafting a QB or trading for a QB wont change that. 49ers have one of the best RB's, one of the best WR duo in Deebo and Aiyuk. They have one of the best TE's in the league with Kittle and their defense was in the top 10 all defense last year. Ranked 14th in pass and 3rd in rushing defense. They can add a player or 2 to make a big difference.

You go back to Kaepernick and so on yes they've had super bowl contending teams and they can't win because they don't have a franchise quarterback. My whole point in comparing the two teams is it really doesn't matter how good your team is if you don't have a franchise quarterback. I don't believe we have one we have the fourth pick in the draft I really don't care until we're locked in at quarterback.

KM on the other hand started out good and went backwards and this yerar he was average so we are still wondering after five seasons that to me is a fail and you can't take Qb off the list.

Yah unfortunately the time to trade him was when he was holding out a few yrs ago... the contract ruined it. We are on the 3-5 year rebuild plan instead now, hopefully we will build up our trenches in preparation.
