Looks like the 49ers are trying to trade their former 1st round pick. They picked upside instead of what would probably been an ideal fit - Mac Jones.
If McCoy is cooked, and doesn't make the final roster, do we make a move on this guy? Should know the 9ers offense inside/out. I have a feeling that I know the answer already lol.

He'll probably have to be released then, so the next team can escape that financial situation.

Not sure Kyle is the guru he is made out to be. What signs of Kyle actually developing Tre’s game are there? They threw him to the wolves too early and at minimum stunted his development. Using a TE to protect their golden boy against the Eagles didn’t end well. Kyle endangers QBs with his scheming and coaching.Tre got destroyed physically under Kyle. Kyle needs about 10 QBs on the roster each year. Terrible OL outside the Silverback…the future health of QBs in SF is poor as long as Kyle is coaching there. |

I have several friends that are Whiners fans and they are totally in denial about Shanahan being awful. I think the league is going to run roughshod over Purdy this year due to having film on him and not being caught by surprise like last season. Your point in Shanahan is spot on. Who has he developed? |

QB Lance was a high-risk bet by SF's GM Lynch and HC Shanahan. The two men were cocky.
Lance is the definition of an NFL bust. No physical talent, no brains, no luck either.
I have no interest in the guy as a Cardinals player. Period.

Lance didnt impress me as a rookie. No poise and very inaccurate. Big deal he can run.
Shanahan is a genius coach if there is one in the NFL. Love the guy. Cant blame him for Trey, they are moving on from a drafting mistake.
Shanahan has a great scheme, makes most of his QB's look pretty good. Is it a style that invites injuries? That's a reach IMO.

The irony here, imo, is what GM John Lynch gave up in draft capital (4 picks, 3 first rounders) to move up and draft Lance. Yet Lynch
and Shanahan have been NFC Super Bowl contenders the past 2 years. Now Lance is designated to 3rd string.

Lance is another overrated college athletic QB. He played against weak competition in college and put up gaudy stats. He is big and fast and has a strong arm. But what about touch? Can he complete passes to well covered receivers and in tight windows. Can he do it under pressure? That's why I'm not a fan of guys like Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray or Caleb Williams. They play in padded systems that enable them to put up gaudy stats. They play in spread systems against weak defenses. That's why Caleb is going to win the Heisman. He wouldn't put up those numbers in the SEC. |

(Per NFL NETWORK) MIN Golden Gophers coach P.J. Fleck wanted to move Lance to safety when he was being recruited out of high school. Lance didn't want anything to do with Safety.
EZ (PMI) Comment: Is Lance a Quarterback or a Safety? Simmons wanted to be a Safety. He was pushed into the LB job. So confusing.
