Every draft cycle I get on board with a particular RB. We may never end up taking the man but I love watching the video action as to me they are the highlight of the game.
I'm looking for three things - 1) A smooth fluid running style. 2) Great jink and change of direction ability 3) Speed (and lots of it).
For 2023 my guy is Devon Achane (Texas A&M). If we could secure extra picks via a trade down then I want him.
(cardinalsins; perhaps you could weave your magic and add him to one of your reserved spots).

Here is a writeup on Achane from WF which has him as the #7 best RB: Devon Achane: 5'9" 185 lbs. Taxes A&M2/31/22: Achane lacks the size to be a three-down starter in the NFL, but he could be a backup runner and receiving back. Achane could be a nice mid-round value pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. As the replacement for Isaiah Spiller, Achane displayed deep speed and big-play ability for the Aggies in 2022. While Texas A&M's offense struggled somewhat, Achane was explosive, including leading the Aggies to a win over Arkansas with 159 yards on 19 carries and a touchdown

I'm on record as hating to waste high draft capital on RBs, but Robinson is one of the few times I wouldn't be mad if we spent a first round pick on a RB. He's probably the 'safest' pick in this entire draft, talent wise, and he's also elite. The ONLY reason he drops has to do with teams not valuing RBs as much as they used to. Bijan could make a huge impact for us in year 1 if we'd actually sign some Free Agent O-lineman. He is definitely going in the first round and if we somehow manage a trade back, we'd be set at RB for years.
About my only issue signing Robinson is we aren't built as a run-first team. Our current O-line is more pass block oriented and none of our TE's are great at blocking. Bijan only makes sense if we draft a coach that prioritizes running the football and will revamp our O-line and system in his first year. They system change is easy. Revamping that many parts of our O-line isn't.
The Michigan RB looks interesting but he's so short Kyler would never see him on passing downs.
