Damar hamlin Prayers to you man..dont like this Never seen anything like this in my life...Jesus The same thing happened to a soccer player called Christian Eriksen, in a European Championship game a few years ago, in a game between Denmark and Finland. Eriksen has been back playing, well for Brentford, and because he did so well, got picked up by Manchester United and is a regular starter and top performer for them. fingers crossed for a similar outcome for Hamlin.

I am not surprised to see this tragedy last night--after all, NFL football is a violent sport--but I am certainly disappointed that it happened to anyone. I have heard about non-penetrating combat injuries that are similarly destructive, causing permanent disability and death. A fall from height or bomb explosion nearby causing heart concussion are my few team experiences.
I think Hamlin's football days are ended as of last night. Hamlin took a shoulder pad or helmet hit directly to his upper chest. I am speculating of course, but Hamline may have had a pre-existing heart condition that was triggered by that hit. The heart rhythm malfunctioned when he was hit squarely on the area of his heart, disrupting the electrical signal from the brain to the heart.
Another thought crossed my mind this morning: that this tragedy did not happen to the Cardinals. I mean, the way this season has gone for the team and the huge number of injuries, I am kind of expecting something like this to happen to a Cardinals player on next Sunday. It is sad that I think this way about the Cardinals and (mis)fortunes now.

I think the tragedy is a fluke and though tragic you cant judge the entire NFL players on just one issue of what must have been something the medical personal missed in some physical every player goes through . Its a risk they all take and ya cant play football with the mindset of what if . If your doing that ya need to find another job ...You knew the risks when you took the job and accepted the contract and money . Its a contact sport and you cant cry foul when or if it happens to you .

The weak fans, those who want to make the game safe and give awards to every participant, should join up with the Bras and Panties League. Crying is encouraged.

David Blough Press conference: Starts Vs 49ers Here is the link: A few thoughts here about him and the game itself. First that was a good interview. He seemed not only well-spoken, but both humble and confident. I'm liking this guy more and more. My initial impressions that were not that good came from his stats. He had only started 5 games with a 54% pass completion and won no games. For being 27 years old, that's not much experience and his stats were nothing to write home about. In other words, I did not expect much and even expressed my misgivings in another thread. Having said that. I was pleasantly surprised. Clearly, he needs to improve on his accuracy with the longer throws. Still when you consider these three things....he did dam good. - Has not started a game in three years
- Was only on the team for a couple of weeks.
- And didn't know he would start until 2 or 3 days before the game.
Talk about being put in a tuff spot. When you consider all that, you got to give him a A for both effort and staying cool even when he knew a few of his passes were off target. I'm going to be rooting for him. Maybe he is just a late bloomer. As far as the game itself. It will be tough, the Niners have something to play for ( homefield advantage) and they have won 9 in a row. I will be very interested in hard our guys play. No doubt, the guys that are fighting to have a career will play hard. But how will the guys that are not on the bubble play? Who will just pack it in thinking there is no point, and who will play hard for respect and the love of the game? Give me those guys any day over a primadonna who only play hard when it suits them. I know many if not most want us to lose, but considering the odds, I would be tickled to death if we deprived them of that homefield advantage.

There are arguments for and against a victory vs. the 49ers on Sunday. It would be fun to punch the NFCW Division 1st place 49ers in the nose and let them know the last place Cardinals are not wimps. Simply giving the 49ers the game is not a good plan. A good plan is to play the youngest and newest members of the Cardinals team and ensure they gain experience and showcase skills.
A win is morally relevant for the 2022 season. A loss is competitively relevant for the 2023 season. It's an apples and oranges argument. Take the oranges. I believe this Cardinals team has moved on and is now focusing on the future. Yes, a 4-13 w/l record sucks bad. I want a better team in 2023. A loss can also be a win.

Gonna watch this one to see if Blough comes out big in this game. Lets see how he does after a practice week full of first string snaps. Hopefully he gets more in sink with the receivers . That alone could be huge. I wanna drink the Kool-Aid and call it a trap game for the 9ers. I know , I know so save it . Go Cards !!

Wow, the team really is in full tank mode now... Game for the young players and soon to be FAs. Cardinal exhibition team vs the laid back 9'ers who will coast into the playoffs. 9'ers 27 Cards 13 This may well be the NFL's swan song season. Something big is about to hit this sport. It may never recover from. No Super Bowl Victory for the Cardinals. Only the 1925 and 1948 Championships.
