I got guts. Not afraid to say it. The Seattle road game is a MUST WIN for Arizona. The Cardinals schedule does not allow any down time for 'fraidy cats. my initial statement was a joke...you don't know my sarcasm, and that's ok... Sarcastic and all we really need to beat Atlanta...but 1st Seattle...I think Geno is getting ready to fall of the kliff...next 2 our ours

why the heck can[t we draft guys like this yet old Pete Carroll gets them all the time. Fifth round pick doesn’t scream skill on Carrol’s part, but more like lottery luck. Carrol has years of experience and has a large network of coaches in college football to get insight on college players, even in small universities. Dan Quinn in last couple of years with Cowboys has improved their draft success. He obviously influenced Pete or Pete influenced Dan in the area of having a big draft pool that is based on relationships with college coaches (HCs and assistants). As with college recruiting the best coaches have huge HS coach pools who influence their focus on players and encourage HS prospects to go to college HC’s camps and do a lot of vetting of prospects for the college staff. Sometimes coaches or GMs will tell in interviews how a certain player was scouted and how they trusted the intel from the player’s coach or based on the relationship of the coach they trusted the player to be a wise choice. As usual it isn’t what you know it is who you know and who you can trust. The team with the most diverse sphere of influence and established relationship with the most college coaches will have a better chance of finding the diamonds in the rough or an overlooked superstar in mid to late rounds of the draft. Josh Allen was only offered one D-1 scholarship (Wyoming) who’s HC is Bowles who previously coached NDSU where he won several national championships in FCS. He recruited Wentz at NDSU and his former assistant coach now HC at NDSU recruited Trey Lance. For a FCS level HC to have one QB in NFL throughout his career is a big accomplishment. The three he had influence on recruiting from HS were all top first round picks in the NFL. North Dakota State coaches should not have that much influence. Goes to show value in scouting, recruiting and proper coaching have and the importance of all three. Since 2011 NDSU has 9 FCS national championships. Baltimore and the draft and scouting was established by Ozzy Newsome. Rare for NFL teams to stay constant with revolving doors at HC and GM.

Seattle's runningback, Penny is out, but the Cardinals need to be careful. Seattle's backup is their second round pick Kenneth Walker, III, a Heisman Trophy candidate from last year.

why the heck can[t we draft guys like this yet old Pete Carroll gets them all the time. This was written by me on Jan 22 on this forum BEFORE FA and BEFORE the Draft: As ROTB and PFF agree with my post on free agents about a week back -- #1 FA priority is: #! Priority Signing: Charvarius Ward Chiefs (NOTE @ 10/13: Current PFF = Exceptional 88) Age 25: PFF - 66. He plays best in a man scheme and has one of the best tackling % in the entire NFL since 2019. #2 Priority: • #40 on the PFF list - Guard James Daniels (NOTE @ 10/13: Current PFF = 69) Bears - Age 25; PFF - 72. He played 100% of all snaps in 2021 and has played some center. Noting his age is only 25 he could be signed for 4 yrs and when Hudson is done move over the center. #3 Priority (Hicks replacement with someone younger and more productive) SLEEPER FA (not on PFF list) - Ja'Whaun Bentley LB (NOTE @ 10/13: Current PFF = 67) Patriots (age 25) - PFF of 66 and he is 6'2" 255 lbs. and was 27th in the entire NFL in solo tackles being good vs. run. Plays MIKE LB for Pats complicated defensive schemes so we know he must be a hard worker. NOTE: ROTB suggestion of Alexander Johnson of Broncos is not bad. I would try to get either Bentley or Johnson for sure and be able to save $6M by cutting Hicks and getting much younger at the position. I believe the Cards first 3 rounds in draft will need to address - CJ replacement ( NOTE on 10/13/22: good depth in the draft at this position - before the draft I wanted Jermaine Johnson [PFF = 73] who has been very good for the Jets chosen at #26 so SK could have traded down and got an extra pick), Tall #2 WR (don't like the FA market much and in 2021 all the high-paid WR's were busts) and CB (deep position in draft -- sure wish Cards had a 4th rounder) or IOL. There is a CB out of Texas-San Antonio who Senior Bowl Director Nagy has identified as a sleeper - name is Tariq Wooten and is 6'3" and 205 lbs. !!HMMM - Ward would be the Cards #1 CB into the future, Daniels would be the starting Center going forward and instead of Vigil who was SK's MIKE LB replacement for Hicks ... Bentley would be superior.
