I finally got to see the condensed version of the Panthers game. Up till now the only other game I got to watch was the KC blow out. It was on Local Tv.
From the radio listening to the other games and watching/posting in this forum I was getting the impression. the Cards had taken a Huge step back this season. But after viewing the Panthers game at Charlotte (where the Cards had not won a game since 2002!) I did not see a crappy team at all.
Were there mistakes Yes! Does the Team need to Improve, most definitely Yes. The D was swarming especially the front 7. Forced TOs, Fumbles and ints on tipped balls, 5 batted down passes between Allen and Watt. 2 sacks (1 by Gardeck changed to a holding penalty as the tackle had the Barbarian around the kneck). The D played good ball.
The O finally got their engine going in the 2nd half. (But even in the 1st half Eno and Ertz were making plays.) Cards O held onto the ball, ate time off the clock, while putting up points.
So, it visually was nowhere near as bad as it was from this forum's reactions and listening to the game.
Another week's practice, injured players returning, we might have a decent chance to clip the Eagles wings Sunday.

Wonder how "green" State Farm is going to be on Sunday ... lots of Philly fans are coming from what I hear. He’s leading the league in yards per attempt… Two interceptions, one of them 100% the fault Of a running back who volleyed the pass up in the air to a defender. He consistently is taking deep shots down the field, and hitting on quite a few… His lack of TD passes is more a fluke than anything else..

This is a big-time trap game though, with the Cowboys coming to town next week. And plus you have to wonder if they are listening to all the glowing commentary… That never seems to help.

Still, there is one constant that I have noticed. The team has not given up. The effort is there even when they mess up. They could have easily folded in the Raider game.....and lets face it, us fans did, but they did not. The team and us fans have had difficult times in trying to stay positive. I think the team is better at that than we are....lol

Yep, PHI QB Hurts is aggressive, zings the ball with accuracy, and has a motor. ARI fans know Hurts due to his roots. No one at ARI is disrespecting Hurts. His 4TDs and 2INTs and 1000-plus yards are nice stats heading into game 5. Cards defense has to have their heads on a swivel. Hurts can scoot. Expect RBs and TEs to augment WRs. DC Joseph loves to blitz but has eased up a bit through game 4. Strategy is working. He might change back to 50/50 blitz and coverage schemes Sunday. Heck of a matchup Sunday afternoon between the Eagles and Cardinals. If the Eagles are slightly distracted by their following Cowpukes game and game implications for the NFCE standings, all the better for Cardinals fans. The Cardinals players are all-in for the Eagles game and are not focused on a next game at the Seahawks.

No doubt some Eagles fans and maybe a few players are thinking that losing on the road to the Cardinals is not as bad as losing at home to the Cowboys a week later. Losing both games would be a nightmare, but that is unlikely given the inconsistency issues for the Cardinals and the Cowboys through 4 games. One thing to consider when talking 'trap game': The Cardinals home losing streak (7) is going to end with a win very soon. A lucky break might be involved. The Cardinals home win will be hard for a visiting team to accept, especially for a team on a hot winning streak.

My sense exactly. These NFL guys can claim "one game at a time" all they want but when a team is on a winning streak and their biggest rivalry on the horizon while facing a weaker team along the way, that has to weigh on them mentally. The Cowboys have been winning without Dak and Dak is scheduled to be back to face the Eagles. If nothing else, the Eagles will have to work at disciplining themselves that this is just another game and that's because the Cowboys are in back of their minds (lol!).

GAME WEEK 5 Philadelphia Eagles @ Arizona Cardinals 10/09/2022L ast Meeting Cardinals 33 Eagles 26
In their last meeting Eagles QB Jalen Hurts played a very good game, He threw for 338 yds 3TD and O Ints However Kyler Murray threw for 406 yds and 3 TDS and I Int Highlights of the last meeting: 12/20/2020Last GameArizona vs CarolinaEagles vs Jaguars
Recommend watch the Eagles playing at home take advantage of a sloppy Jaguars offense. The Eagles gain 5 turnovers and score multiple points. All turnovers were by QB Lawrence. Eagles RB Sanders and TE Goedart(SP?) are key big play actors on the Eagles offense. QB Hurts is a tough runner similar to QB Wilson now with the Broncos.

Recommend also rewatch the Vikings @ Eagles game 2 on MNF earlier this season. The Vikings (1-0) played a conservative brand of football on the road and that strategy cost them that night. The Eagles (1-0) were far better prepared, aggressive, and sharp. The Eagles offensive line was solid. Sanders, Goedert, and Hurts pummeled the Vikings defense all night long.
The Eagles continue to build on prior lessons learned and successes as evidenced at the their last game versus the Jaguars. Five turnovers were forced. The Eagles defenders constantly punch at the football. Watch out for more fists on Sunday.
