FLCF, thank you! That was some awesome videos of flying and low-levels by AF F4 Phantom drivers in the high desert at NV. Low-level flying at 20' altitude and at 450-500 knots takes steel balls and a soft hand on the stick.
The draft book is under way. Chaps 1 & 2 done. About 28 to go. There is not much difference between a GDT, a big game, and a novel. Just tell good stories. People's imaginations will do the rest.
Go Cardinals! Beat the Rams.

OFFICIAL GAME DAY THREAD Arizona Cardinals 11-6 @ L.A. Rams 12-5
Welcome Everyone!
"ONE GAME "
The 17 game regular season is finally over and your Arizona Cardinals are in the playoffs. The mantra all year by the Cardinals players is "one game at a time" and now is time to get out the eraser and start fresh. Ask the New England Patriots if it mattered that they were 16-0 going into the Super Bowl against the 10-6 NY Giants in Super Bowl XLII. Who can forget Our very own 2008 Arizona Cardinals at 9-7 faced the mighty 12-4 Pittsburgh Steelers in the very next Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa Florida. Monday Night's game, The Cardinals travel to Inglewood California to face their NFC West rivals the L.A. Rams. The Cardinals have the best road game record in the NFL going 8-1 during the regular season. The Rams finished 5-3 at home this season. Many fans seem to be happy that the Cardinals are playing on the road. Well, this might raise an eyebrow or two. *Fact check* The Cardinals are the only team in the NFL that have never lost a home game in the playoffs. This goes all the way back to the Chicago Cardinals For the Cardinals to play at home in 2022, All the NFC road teams must win along with the Cardinals. In addition, if the Eagles win out vs the Packers in the second round of the playoffs and the Cardinals beat the 49ers at home. We would have a rematch of the 2008-2009 NFC Championship between the Eagles and Your home team The Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium. The Cardinals and Rams are trending in two different directions over the last part of the season. The Rams are 4-1 in their last 5 games while the Cardinals are 1-4. This is why the loss to Seattle was such a disappointment for the home fans. But for you road warriors out there The Cardinals will have to otherwise get to the Super Bowl by playing all their playoff games on the road. The Cardinals are oldest team in the NFL. They also have the longest drought of not winning a Championship. Folks, it has been 74 years since the Cardinals have won a Championship. I remember we had a member on the forum a few years back that was 98 years young. He would have been able to go to that 1947 Cardinal Championship game. Our hope in this 2021 NFL Season and 2022 playoff run is that we too can finally have our Super Bowl Championship dream come true. Its no fun to see headlines like these & the following twitter tweet below. There are all kinds of stats and win loss streaks but what matters most is the game ending score on Monday Night Football.
MORE TO COME ON GAME DAY

(This is my winter avatar) Considering I use to work next to a squadron of F-4 Phantoms in MCAS Yuma, AZ those were some mean fighter jets back in the day. On the other side was a squadron of AV-8B Harriers and I don’t really miss those as they were some pigs. Seen one take off vertical hover and than flip only to slam into the flight deck killing the pilot and everything. Still partial to the A-4 Skyhawks that I worked on. Unfortunately not much use for a well trained aviation ordnance man in the civilian world. Back to subject at hand rams are a very dumb animal and have zero chance of outflying a Cardinal so we take this in a lambslide. 😂

Haven't you heard? Adrian Wilson is forgoing his NY GM interview and signing a playoff prove it deal with the Cardinals suiting up only one upping Eric Weddle. No need to talk Larry Fitzgerald out of retirement as he never officially retired by signing the retirement papers. He too will be suiting up for the Cardinals. It will be one for the ages. LOL

Game Day Thread Arizona Cardinals @ L.A. Rams
Playoff History: Cardinals vs Rams
The Monday Night game between the Cardinals and the Rams will be the second time the two teams have met in post season play. I remember the first game all too well. The year was 1975 and what I remember is not good either.Back then you didnt have microwave popcorn. You had to make it on the stove with Jiffy POP. By the time I had my popcorn at halftime, the Cardinals were already beaten. It was 28-9 at halftime. St. Louis Cardinal QB Jim Hart threw two pick 6's in the first half. Jack Youngblood a Univ of Florida DE was a terror that day. He had the first pick 6. The Cardinals came fighting back in the second half and drew closer at 28-16 only to fumble away the game. The final score was 35-23 with the Cardinals commiting five turnovers in the game. Bill Simpson had two intereptions one of which was another pick 6. As a young highschool kid, I held out hope the Cardiac Cards would come back as they did all season. Afterall, the Cardinals were 11-3 that year in 1975 and under Don Coryell they had probably the best offense in the league. The Rams run offense pounded the Cardinals defense. The Rams ran the ball 50 ( yes 50) times for 237 yards. LA. Running back Lawrence McCutcheon had 203 yds. His longest carry was only 11 yards. Imagine how tough those runs were. That sustained attack never allowed the Cardinals to get back in the game. The game was the end to a great season for the then St. Louis Cardinals. Having lost to the Vikings 32-14 the previous year in the playoffs, this loss hurt the fam quite a bot more. 2022 will be different, This will be our year.
