After 7 games a few things stand out in my opinion. First the Cardinals have a really good team this year. They seem to be much tougher mentally then teams in the past. Second if Kyler Murray stays healthy the Cardinals have a real chance to win the Super Bowl. Without Kyler Murray they might still be a playoff team but no realistic chance of winning the Super Bowl. Conclusion. If the Cardinals really are all in this year then they have to trade for an offensive lineman. Well it would be fantastic to have another corner on the roster as well as a big fat run-stuffing defensive lineman the priority should be improve the offensive line. I invite anyone who watched the Houston game to debate this.

KM is the key, they need to spend any available resources to try and fix this oline right now. They gave him plenty of weapons, now give him time to use those weapons. Yes Rodney is out, but no excuse. Too much on the line, they are obviously all in. Upgrade that line Cards before its too late.

Ok, so yes, we know the OLine did not do great on Sunday. The obvious thing to do is blame the OLine, but there have been games where the OLine did a lot better than this.
So what was different about the Houston game? Here is the order of executed plays: Pass Pass Pass(sack) Pass Punt Pass Pass(sack) Run Punt QB Sneak(sack)(safety)
They simply decided to NOT establish the run in the beginning of the game. Houston always knew we were passing and we always were passing. So many things that make the offense work hinge on the opposing defense dedicating resources to stopping the run.
The playcalling did not do the OLine or Kyler Murray any favors on Sunday!

K2 said he felt disconnected after coming back from COVID the day of the game. Personally, I think he should be part of the offensive game planning but he should turn the reins over to Coach Whipple and promote him to Offensive Coordinator. He did a great job calling the game against the Browns. K2 can still have a part in it.

K2 stated yesterday in his weekly interview with 98.7 that at end of Qtr #1, Kugler came up to him and suggested a few specific run plays. I am certainly glad K2 listened as running the ball opened up the entire play sheet. I will say K2 drew up some nice plays to get Hop and Ertz into the offense (latter even in the run game). The "flick" throw to Hop inside the 5 yd line was very well designed and if KM1 missed another new play for an easy TD (the overthrow to DHop when the he actually lined up on the right side and was wide open)

I pretty much agree, but perhaps "Assistant OC" if that can be a thing. He did a great job calling the plays, but it was only one game, and there is much more to OC. It would be great if he could just be totally focused on calling plays.
Either way, Kliff should not have just showed up on game day and taken over after not getting to be part of the game planning for the week. That was a bad decision. He had been gone all week and literally showed up on game day, he should have trusted his guys to run the game plan.
It was a tough situation, and I understand how he must have felt, but I hope he will take that lesson from it.

People with bad cases, who have 'long haul' symptoms, report the brain fog lasting 3-4 months. The fault was not even making an attempt to establish the run. To not do so, when your QB was hurt the previous week, is even dumber. Only the KK knows his brain fog issues, or those closest to him. If he is suffering in any way from this, I hope he turns over the reigns to whipple. With the amount of weapons we have, anyone with half a brain could call plays with this team. I'm just glad Kugler continues to speak up. That guy has meant more to our team the last two years than anyone in recent memory.

This team cannot win games with McCoy starting at QB. A Kyler at 60% may be able to squeak out a few wins.
Face it, we are all in on Kyler Murray at this point.

Kyler took probably the most violent hits he's absorbed as a pro v. Texans. Josh Jones and Max Garcia had better pull their collective heads out of you know where. Still think Jones can be good. Hurry back Rodney. They dub them 'Franchise' QBs for a reason. If they go down, the franchise's season is in jeopardy.

We can't win a super bowl with him, but if McCoy could win games for Washington, I think he can win with the amount of talent we have. He just needs some reps to knock rust off, which he should have received last week, yet didn't. As long as our defense shows up, McCoy should be able to win at least 60% of our games. We've never had this much talent, and while Murray is the only one who will beat elite teams, McCoy was always a great game 'manager.' He didn't beat teams himself, but he also didn't lose them due to dumb mistakes. It's not like this is Lindsey we are talking about. Think about this another way. 1. McCoy is familiar with the system 2. He's not just experienced running it, but he's always had decent accuracy going back to college ranks. 3. All he has to do is get the ball in hands of playmakers. That's it. Let them do the rest and don't try to win with your arm. The only way I see McCoy not being able to play .500 ball is if we don't protect him and don't run the football. This is where Hudson makes all the difference. If we get Hudson back near 100%, McCoy likely gets ball out fast enough for us to play ball control offense. But McCoy has shoulder injuries as well, going back to his National Championship days, so we are toast if we don't get interior protection

McCoy's will get pounded behind our OLine.
Our Defense will be on the field much more.
I don't want to find out who wins this debate. LOL

And that's the way we have always been. Over the years our backup has been adequate at best. We never had an Earl Moral. At this point in time, we may make the playoffs without KM, but that's about it. Going further will take a 100% KM.

Anyone know when C Hudson will be back on the Line? We miss his skill, experience and leadership.

I think Garcia has done a very nice job filling in, but he's no Hudson.
The nice thing is when Hudson comes back you have the option of sliding Garcia over to take Jones out if he continues to struggle.
