Man, I used to live for the baseball Cardinals games back in the day. Not a diehard fan anymore. I heard on sports news that this current team is on a hot streak, won 7 in a row, and is now at the playoffs doorstep and close to clinching that final Wild Card spot. If you are a true-blue Cardinals baseball fan, I wish you good luck on the team's final 2 weeks of the season.

If you are a true-blue Cardinals baseball fan, I wish you good luck on the team's final 2 weeks of the season. I was very much like you. In the 70's my radio was always tuned to KMOX listening to Jack Buck and Mike Shannon....I knew them so well, they were almost like family. But like you over time I lost interest. Not so much the team, but baseball in general. Still, whenever they make the playoffs, I become a get on the bandwagon fan. So is this a appropriate emoji...

Cardinals won 10th in a row last night, 2-1. Now 90% chance of making the playoffs. The team is almost 'in.' The MLB Wild Card playoff is just 1 game, winner take all so to speak. We'll see how this hot STL team does against another hot team next week.

I'm in a STL Cards group. I find it funny that fans there are no different than the ones in this group. Fire the GM, Fire the manager , the owners are cheap. The GM is always dumpster diving for no good or washed up players. The STL fans also know how to manage/run the team better than the idiots in charge. It's also funny how the same ones disappear after a 10 game win streak. Make no mistake, they're like buzzards circling, waiting for their next see I told you so chance..... Go Cards!

INCREDIBLE Look at this 13 in a row 13-0 1 more win and they match the 1935 CARDINALS who won `14 straight www.mlb.com/news/cardinals-win-13th-straight-in-doubleheader-opener

www.espn.com/mlb/recap?gameId=401346454Well, the STL Cardinals team did it. They earned win #14 in a row last night, tying the 1935 record. I think the team has locked up that last WC berth now. This young and ambitious STL Cardinals team has captured the attention of everyone who loves MLB. Can they keep it going into October? Some very good NL teams await the Cardinals in the playoffs.

Yes indeed,14 in a row. I hope they can keep the pedal to the metal through the playoffs. Today's game (2:20 EST) will be interesting as Jon Lester the ex-Cub that helped them win a WS in 2016 will be starting for the Cards today. The Cards have a good mix of Vets & young guy's, Kinda like the AZ Cards.

The Cardinals 1-game playoff will be against the LA Dodgers or the SF Giants, depending on which team comes in 2nd in the West. That's what I read this morning. Those two WC teams are not looking forward to facing a hot Cardinals team that has batters pounding the baseball and pitchers acing game after game. I like the Cardinals chances vs the Dodgers or Giants.

The two second place Wild Card teams play 9 innings of baseball tonight, Oct 6th, for the right to face off against the Giants in a few days.
Wainwright will take the mound for the Cardinals tonight. Scherzer takes the mound for the Dodgers.
The Dodgers are favored by 1.5 runs. O/U for the game is 7.5 runs.
Go Cardinals! Win World Series Championship #12.

The baseball Cardinals made a historical late season run, but in the end, it didn't work out. 17 strait wins at the end of the season is one for the record books and adds another amazing chapter to the long Cardinals history.
Just a after thought. I hate the Yankees, but the Dodgers are a close second. Having said that. What a treat for the Dodgers fans. A walk-off homerun in the bottom of the 9th in a one game play-off....it doesn't get any better than that.

A walk-off homerun in the bottom of the 9th in a one game play-off....it doesn't get any better than that. Remember Jack Clark? He did the same walk-off HR thing to the Dodgers in 1985. One pitch, one Clark swing, and it was a HR to end the game and the Division series. That is the most famous Division playoff series for the Cardinals and Dodgers. I was sitting at LaGuardia, NY, awaiting my flight to Spain, and watched that moment on skinny TV. I jumped up and hollered and several people whipped around and stared at me, maybe wondering if I was a terrorist. Nope, just a crazy baseball fan! www.bing.com/videos/search?q=jack+clark+home+run+versus+dodgers+&view=detail&mid=AD41774899F037FFDDF7AD41774899F037FFDDF7&FORM=VIRE
