A little premature and too many names. I was thinking we use the name thread that we already have and taking 4 to 5 names from there after the old forum closes.

I chose Cardinal Nation because it implies that it includes everyone that is not in the Arizona area.

Plus not all names mentioned in the original name thread are included in the poll, nor have some possibly in use by other teams been eliminated. (not that it is prohibited UNLESS TRADEMARKED, but some might think it is a copycat name at the least) Revenge of the Birds already has Bird Droppings in use; and Cardinal Nation and Cardinals Nation are also - by the St Louis baseball team, fan groups and a restaurant in St. Louis. Do an online search for your favorite name to see whether it is being used by some other entity. Most catchy names have been adopted already. |

We are the Red Sea. IMHO that's the name. Do you go to games? It's rise up red sea. Like I said IMHO it's already our name.

With the sheer amount of names being voted on, make sure to do a runoff poll of the top 3 or 4 names and let us all vote again.

If offered, I would vote for #1 Unofficial Arizona Cardinals Forum. That one pokes fun at the decision to pull the plug on the former free Forum. Though in time, that jab at the Org will be lost on most folks. Meanwhile, Cardinals Nation works fine for me. It's a movement!

Nobody responded to that post or made a different suggestion. This poll is (IMO) supposed to weed out everything except the 5 most popular names. A 2nd poll would then allow a favorite to be selected from those 5. Please share those name suggestions that are not on the poll that in your opinion should have been included. |

Not saying any of the above are the best or that there are no others, just for inclusion of all ideas on the first vote. There are so many names more than two votes may be needed. Or maybe the Admins could decide among themselves if there is no clear winner on a last vote here. (clear winner meaning by several votes)
IMO no special name at all is acceptable. As someone else said, leaving it as is, "#1 Unofficial Arizona Cardinals Forum" seems fine to me, or even add ""Universal" in there somewhere to be inclusive of every possible fan anywhere - if some think it is too restrictive without that word or some similar word.
At some point the admins might have to decide whether there is any legal liability for using a name already in use by others, especially if trademarked. I have already noted that some names are in use by other teams, fan groups, websites or businesses.
All this is one person's thinking, nothing else. No problem with those who may disagree in any way, as always.
