On Saturday morning, I read an NFL.com game day prediction for ARZ @ TEN based on the latest Las Vegas analysis and betting. Lo and behold, the prediction has ARZ winning by 1 point on Sunday. The prediction changed homefield advantage to nil, credited roster tweaks, and continues the same O/U, about 52 total points. Not much of a gambler myself, but doesn't Vegas give 3 points to the home team?? It is a historical fact that NFL home teams are traditionally "gifted" 3 points by major betting houses. Some traditions and legends die hard, especially where analysis is absent. Regarding TEN's outlook on Sunday, the pre-game hype extends from the 2020 season to today. However, please review the ARZ @ TEN GDT comments about the head to head competition across the decades. There are not many games to review. There is enough information to make a reasonable assessment for Sunday. Then, please advise if gifting 3 points to TEN is warranted. I think Vegas adjusted from hype to reality and is advising their best clients to revalue risk.

During 2020, stadiums were closed to the public due to COVID-19 concern. Still, the Vegas houses gifted 3 points to home teams. The origin for the 3-point gift was based on rowdy fans, noise, and disruptions caused on the field to visiting teams. There was only piped in noise as stadiums in 2020. I suggest the 3 points is a gift. The -3 value is not real. Don't bite.

A nugget I just copied from an article I read a bit ago...
A former third-round pick out of West Virginia, Rasul Douglas lasted just one week with the Houston Texans. He was a part of the Texans’ re-configuring of their cornerbacks’ group this season. He started 11 games last season for the Carolina Panthers. Pro Football Focus ranked Douglas highly when Douglas was against tough competition. He was the third-highest graded CB against receivers with a grade above 80.

King Henry likes it cold. He runs so much better when it hurts more to hit.

I'm real interested in the Titan WRs.
AJ Brown has some new knees. Who is the CB that defends him? His 40 time was around 4.5. I doubt the knees make him faster. He's a YAC beast though.
Julio has 4.3 speed...a long time ago. I think he still has the ability to outrace CBs though...as Byron Murphy found out in his rookie year. Still, WRs usually have a downtrend in their stats when they transition to a new team, but there isn't a ton of data on superstar WRs. Nuk did it, but he was a target hog. Julio might be the WR2 in this historically low passing volume offense. That...and he hasn't practiced much with his new QB. Who sticks him? He fits so well into a play action offense though.

I'm hoping it takes a game for new OC Todd Downing and the offense to find rhythm. Terminology will be the same but maybe we'll see a couple of ME's or breakdowns in routs or blocking schemes that benefit the Cardinals.

I don’t think any of their key players on offense played during preseason. Hoping their rhythm is slight off. We get some sacks and two picks (one by Alford) one by Murphy.

Marco has 4.3 speed (fresh speed) and can certainly run with him. But asking a hell of a lot for rookie cb to stay with Julio all game and not give up a couple of chunk plays. Unless we roll safety to his side.

It’s the subtle little things like stop and go, quick jitter steps, etc. But, he fights this every day against the likes of Hop, Green, Moore, Kirk, and the 4.28 speed of Isabella.

Unleash the birds of prey. Many hungry players on this team; JJ Watt, Chandler Jones, KM, Alford, both 4th rounder DL, Green, Isabella. All for various reasons. A hungry team is a dangerous team, particularly a disrespected team. 24-23 Cards
