Jacksonville traded a 5th rd pic to browns for carlos hyde...obviously cards have more pressing needs than a back up for dj but this is what successful gms do...

Honestly, Keim should be doing everything in his power to bring in offensive lineman. Horrible , horrible run blocking pass protection schemes. Cole may be a keeper. D-Hump got his a.ss kicked last night.. D-Hump

He should have done that long before this season. As a former lineman himself, he certainly seems to be unable to find and pick/trade for capable OL guys. It's like he can't recognize talent, for whatever reason. Too many of those signed have been failures or just so-so - IMO. Nice guys does not equal good linemen. EXCEPTION: Cole is looking good. A lucky draft?
Compounding that problem, current coaches have done their part in letting adequate OL personnel go and keeping those who we find are not up to the job - when it is too late.
I looked at the PSquad and see two OL names, both total strangers. They will probably be gone soon, too. Frustrating.
Why is this a continuing problem, year after year? (I think I know)

Does anyone still have faith in SK to bring in the right pieces ? I sure don't anymore. The Smith and Pugh signings were it for me. It was on the street that Smith was done 2 years ago. Pugh came from a line as bad or worse than the Cards had last year. Personally I don't want SK doing anything. I hope MB has the cajons to let SK go after the end of the year. Best thing that could happen to this team is a whole new staff brought in. I think the players have lost faith in SK, and it certainly looks like Wilks has lost the locker room. Time for a clean sweep. If he really ever had it.

Wouldn't trade Petersen, David Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald etc. It's not worth it. You won't get valuable assets in return. Teams will try to give 10 cents on the dollar in return.
Rather, the better strategy is replace the GM and coaching staff the way the Rams did. Bring in a new GM with a brand new vision who can hire the right coaching staff who can use the talent on the team to win.

He avoids lineman from Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Auburn, Ohio St. Wisconsin, Oklahoma...the best programs in the country. He avoided Chance Warmack from Alabama who was a better prospect because he was bigger and better in the pass and elected to take the short stout run blocker from North Carolina in Cooper.

For those calling for Keim's firing, his last GM day is coming by January '19, in my view. Why so?
Many high draft pick failures since '13.
Mediocre FA signings last 2 years.
Contracts do not attract best talent since Jones signing.
Campbell walked. That hurt bad.
Worst NFL team playing every weekend '18.
1-6 '18 record and little positive to look forward to next 9 games.
Alcholism affected planning and decision making. Covered it up. Busted. Embarrased the org.
FO statistics and lackluster on-field achievements.
Kiem has made Bidwill's axe easy to swing in 3 months.

He's dead man walking. The DUI followed by 1-6 and endless embarrassment in 2018 will see to that. All of this tough guy stuff is just a fat alcoholic GM in his death throes. Hopefully Mike is already working on how to roast this failure from top to bottom and making the necessary changes.

If the team continues to struggle the rest of the season, the owners will have no choice but to make drastic changes because they risk losing investment from advertisers and the "Boosters" (club level/suite owners). They are not going to invest in this product if there is no real hope or vision.

Firstly, I disagree with trading draft picks for a running back is what SK needs to do. The season is a dumpster, he needs to collect draft picks, for the new GM, not waste them.
Secondly, I’ve had some wine, but, with John Lynch the lastest ex player to be a GM. Would Mr Bidwill getting Kurt Warner to replace SK, give the Cardinals a huge PR boost?

Any indication at all that Warner would even be remotely interested in the job? I don't oppose the idea, just have never heard even one word about Warner interested in being a GM here or anywhere else.

It has a rise tinted aroma, and gives the kind of mental hug, Kurt returning to the Cards is the finest of comparisons. Another glass? Oh go on then. This Michigan game definitely needs a drink added.

I doubt we're gonna just get a quality linemen in a trade without him being in a contract year. I'm sure we'll make some small trade similar to last year though (AP)

I doubt we're gonna just get a quality linemen in a trade without him being in a contract year. I'm sure we'll make some small trade similar to last year though (AP) The FO needs to bring in promising backups or PsQuad O-linemen to replace Munyer, Clausell, and possibly Vujnovich as well. I've harped about this already in 3 threads, Wilks and Staff cut 2 o-linemen that 1st were 2016 and 2017 Cardinal draft picks that Both had significant playing time over the last 2 years, Boehm and Will Holden. In their place Wilks brings in 2 former Panther PSquad and backup O-line men Clausell and Vujnovich. Clausell has yet to dress for any game, Vuj got hurt in his 1st game coming in as a back up guard. Bad decisions impo from Wilks and Staff. SK still has 10 days before the Oct. 30th trade deadline for starting talent. But he can pilfer PSquad players any time. Get rid of Munyer, Clausell, and maybe Vujnovich and bring in the best prospects from the better teams that have quality O-lines. It Can be Done! It Needs to be done Asap!
