Looking back across the Cardinals last two seasons under HC Kliff Kingsbury, that is, if past is prologue, I forecast continued team improvement for the O/D/ST. W/L guessers have the Cardinals falling to as low as 7 wins and improving to as many as 10 wins. I selected 11 wins in the poll. Mental errors cost the Cardinals a couple games in 2020. I assume those type mistakes will happen again in 2021, but maybe at the beginning of a game, not at the last 2 minutes! Certainly QB and Oline output is trending positive. Receivers and running backs are a question -- there 1 bell cow there: DHOP. On D, this is a wait and see year. I definitely won't miss CB Patrick Peterson. Budda Baker is the backfield leader now and his crew will be okay. Edge and LB definitely improved with Jones returning from IR and Simmons and Collins hooking up to create a terrifying kill zone. ST is critical. Every FG missed hurts, as we found out last year. About the 2021 schedule, I have no gripes. The League now recognizes that the Cardinals are watchable and provided 3 prime time games. I am sure a couple more games will be rescheduled to prime time IF THE TEAM PLAYS UP TO ITS POTENTIAL EARLY. Like some analysts said, the first half of the season will determine if the Cardinals are heading to the playoffs, or heading to the basement. Regarding NFCW competition, Steven A. Smith (per NFL.com video) did not throw the Cardinals under the bus as he's done in past years. He did say the Cardinals are good, but also forecasted that the Division's other three teams (LAR, SEA, and SF) are better teams and will finish ahead of the Cardinals. I take his forecasts with a grain of salt. He's not any smarter or wiser than you and me. When the Cardinals compete and win the Division again and again, then sports analysts will stop ranking the Cardinals down every danged year. Bottom line: The Cardinals strength of schedule (SOS) is .507, or tied for 13th -- and I think those numbers are correct. SOS is a good omen. The Cardinals last year seemed to take days off versus weaker teams and that attitude (by coaches and players) clearly cost some wins. Kingsbury is in his make or break year as a HC. How Kingsbury does as Offensive Coordinator ultimately will decide if the Cardinals make the playoffs and if Kingsbury and GM Steve Keim keeps their jobs. A lot more is on the line for the Cardinals franchise this season. Us fans are just along for the ride as usual. 11 wins is not unrealistic at all IF MENTAL ERRORS ARE ELIMINATED. Go Cardinals! Kick some butts.

Go Cardinals! Kick some butts. Fair assessment that PutMeIn. Nothing to be scared about. Get out the blocks quick and put the hammer on the opposition. - Fine margins can be the difference between win or lose, so the mental side of the game will be vital. Lets hope that our recent vet signings can make a massive difference in improving this. No more 'underdog' mentality, rather the players need to take the field believing that we are now TOP-DOG.

First half of the schedule looks tougher so it will be imperative to get off to good start. The TN and Jacksonville games will be hot and humid and the only real cold game possibility is early Dec against the Bears which by then will have Fields most likely at QB. It is interesting that every one of the 3 prime time TV games are at home and definitely think it is an advantage to be at home for the Thurs game vs. Packers and the Christmas day game vs. Colts

The season opener at Tennessee is going to be a good barometer for the Cards in 2021. Titans ended up with Farley and Molden in the draft and McMath the big WR from LSU and they picked up J Reynolds WR from Rams on defense the got Bud Dupree and if he is healthy will cause K1 to have issues with his speed. Henry is the real concern if Cards can't score some points and get a lead. AZ doesn't have to win the game, but they better be ready to play and have a good showing. Staring the year at 0-1 and isn't good, but a early beatdown could cause a chain reaction in a bad way. As stated by others a 1-4 start or 0-5 could happen. This brings up the question of how the Cards are planning on attacking the Titans defense, the Titans are going to attack AZ's defense like they have played in the last few years. First the Titans offense will test the will of AZ's defense and they will try to get the play action game tuned in with the mix of big WRs on their roster. J Reynolds has had success with the Rams against AZ in the past and will be looking to make an impression on his new team. Henry, if game is close in the second half will be the problem if secondary has to get tight to the line of scrimmage to help the run game then the long play action passes. AZ and how they may attack is going to be interesting, are they going to line up 10 or 11 personnel. PFF had the recent article showing on first and second down AZ lead league in 10 personnel in 2020. Teams like Rams are almost exclusively in 11. Without a TE on first AND SECOND K1 hasn't been as effective as with the TE in 11 personnel. With the TE situation, AZ will need another blocking TE or should have more blocking depth since offensive numbers are better in the 11 personnel, don't know if K2 is going to go with the data, but we will see.

Yeah, this game will be interesting to watch with the 1st round picks, assuming they both play. I'm cool with taking Collins over Farley, but we will know if that was the best route some time Down the road.
