Cut the charade and fire the coach by the time I get off work Main- I agree he needs to go, but you can't do it now. There is literally nobody to take over. IF you really like Leftwich, let him be an OC and see what he can do. HC would be too much and you wouldn't know what you have in him as an OC if you did that. Have to wait until the year ends. Plus, the "coaching fraternity" would look down on firing a guy midyear in year 1. Be patient.

The next question is do you play PP this weekend against SF?
One, you risk an injury that would spike the trade. Two, a guy who is a Captain, just told his teammates, he wants out.

FIRST, NO TEAM WILL OFFER ANYTHING CLOSE TO OBJ OR A #1 PIC FOR A 30 YO CORNER. secondly, pp signed a contract-if im mb hes not going anywhere period. next, mb this is YOUR SIGN-sk/wilks gotta go period next, if after meeting with pp and he still wants to go, then im trading hiss azz to BUFFALO-NO WAY IN HELL AM I TRADING HIM TO A CONTENDER. however, trading pp DOES OPEN THE DOOR FOR BRANDON WILLIAMS TO PLAY CORNER... He has just turned 28 years old and has 2 years left on his current deal at a very manageable rate for one of the best corners in the game. The talk of multiple first round picks is madness, but if the likes of KC, NO or the Eagles want him, that is what I would be starting at. I think you start by asking for 2 - 1st's and end up with about a 1st and a 3rd and maybe an additional 5th. You may be able to push someone into a 1st and a 2nd if they're in separate years.

I think this pretty much leaves the writing on the wall for Wilks. How does it look when your best player is asking for a trade when he has never previously showed even discontent while playing for the Cards? You have to wonder about Keim too. His last few drafts have been horrible for the most part (this year doesn’t look too bad in fairness), but it feels like we’ve been speaking about the same problems for the last few years, particularly o line.

Wilks lost the locker room before the bye week! Thats bad, real bad.
1) 1-6 record 2) You have to fire your OC in week 6 3) You are now on the hot seat 4) Your Captain just requested a trade.
I think its pretty evident that this team is done for the next couple of years. Get a top 10 1st for Pat P and a second if you can and start the re-build. It would be pretty cool to have two top 10 1st round picks in 2019.

Dang this sucks. This team has talent, it has a legit competitive team. But the FO messed it all up. They put the wrong coaching staff with the right players.

I wonder if Bidwell and Keim can still spin the "retool" mode on us.
clearly we SUCK and are in total rebuild mode. Nice having a franchise QB to start.
But a shut down corner is part of that.
Brian McFaddan , PP's cousin, has tweeted that PP wants to be traded preferably to NO.
When a star in any sport wants out he generally is granted his wish.
Lets see how Keim does with his back to the wall.

I'd normally be right there with you, but one of the 2-3 players on your team that you consider your leaders and faces just asked out. You have to eat the L on the public perception with how it looks the way we're eating L's on the field and let him go now. This year is a throwaway regardless.

Gambo reported that PP was not unhappy with the coach or players. He wanted a trade because he is in his prime and wants to contend for a title.
If anything, this is PP's criticism of Steve Keim because it is essentially saying he doesn't trust the front office to improve the team and acquire the talent necessary to compete in the playoffs in the coming years.
At the end of the season Michael Bidwill needs to completely revamp the front office and coaching staff. This is a disaster. Acquiring a lot of picks does no good when Keim is the one drafting the players. He has done a horrible job with the draft overall. Most of Keim's success has been in free agency.
They went with a mediocre coaching staff and GM. The owner needs to send a message to the players and fans that they are no longer going to cut corners and instead will bring in some quality personnel. Keim is trying to distance himself and evaluate the coaching staff as if he is MB and just a victim of their performance. Sorry, but Keim is the one who hired these coaches. This is as much of a reflection of Steve Keim as it is the head coach.

When I watched the preseason show that followed the Cardinals a few years back, the one that I took away from seeing things behind the scenes was that I didn't care for PatP and his big talk. Even this past week when he talked about having all 32 cameras on him as he was going to make big plays...only to get butchered by Denver. I do respect his play, but if he is your "leader" you have problems. IMO
