It is strange with the number of stories this week. I hope it is BS it is either that or we are the leakiest team in the league.

I have no problem trading anyone. Provided we get a better return. I believe it was Branch Rickey who said " better to trade a player a year or two early rather than a year or two late ". Problem is....I don't trust SK or the talent evaluators to be able to use those picks and players they receive to the best of their abilities. Same goes with this whole coaching staff.

If teams with superstars struggle, all of a sudden those superstars are "on the trade block" and guys are chomping at the bit to tweet the possibility first.

Peterson, Jones, Baker, are your defensive core. You dont trade away any of those players, you build around them. Any DC worth their salt would say "Give me an elite Pass Rusher, an elite CB, and an above average S/jack of all trades type player and I can win with them". If Wilkes and Holcomb can't figure out a way to win with those guys, then we have the wrong coaches.
We need LB's. I think many of our defensive problems would be solved with LB's that actually played well on a consistent basis.
We have enough money in FA to bring in at least 2 starting LB's if we want to.

Cardinals open to discussing a potential Patrick Peterson trade, willing to reshape roster The Arizona Cardinals could be one of the NFL's most active teams ahead of the trade deadline, with league sources indicating that All-Pro corner Patrick Peterson is among the players the team is willing to move. Arizona is off to a slow start, has already transitioned from Sam Bradford to Josh Rosen at quarterback and the front office is keeping an open mind about moves to reposition the franchise for the future. The Cardinals had hoped to compete for a playoff spot this season with a roster largely comprised of players brought in while Bruce Arians was head coach and with the hope that Bradford, with a contract worth up to $20M for 2018, could keep them relevant in the NFC West. But the tenor of this campaign has already shifted significantly to the point where several sources indicated a trade involving Peterson, perhaps the top corner in football, is quite possible by the deadline a little over two weeks from now. Accruing high draft picks will be imperative if the team is to rebuild around Rosen, and there will be numerous holes to fill on this roster is it currently stands. As reported last week, the Cardinals are also seeking a trade for safety/linebacker Deone Bucannon, a former first-round pick who has not fit in their new defensive scheme (a trade is likely, sources said), and are also open to moving linebacker Haason Reddick, the 13th overall pick in 2017, though his steep salary is expected to severely limit any real trade market for him, rival general managers said. But Peterson could be a potential blockbuster that would put the Cardinals in position to make significant noise in the next few drafts. He continues to play at a truly elite level, he is incredibly versatile, and, with the corner market exploding since his last contract, his salaries of $11M in 2019 and $12M in 2020 (when he turns 30) significantly increase his trade value as well. www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/cardinals-open-to-discussing-a-potential-patrick-peterson-trade-willing-to-reshape-roster/amp/Fire SK before he does any more damage. They could turn around really quickly especially if Rosen develops into a solid pro by next season. We could be KC next year if they play their cards right.I didnt know KC was the worst team in the NFL last season. I could have sworn they made the playoffs. No we re not KC in any way shape or form.

"Bolded"No they did not...competing for a playoff spot this year was never in the tea leaves...only fan expectations They absolutely did expect to compete for a playoff spot. We finished 8-8 last year. They brought in what they perceived to be a better QB option in Bradford. They assumed a new more disciplined approach would achieve 1 or 2 more wins and possibly contend for a playoff spot. They assumed that Keim's great draft picks would mature and perform better. Retroactively claiming the team was not contending for a playoff spot is just apologizing for Steve Keim. Rather than admit he messed up, you guys want to act like rebuilding was in their plans all along. Nice try No nice try..its been that way since FA started and nothing has change...just because you missed the boat is nothing new...and no apologies SK,his ship has pretty much sailed

I am gonna have to go with the view of them going after and paying as much as they did for Bradford they thought they could compete for a playoff spot. If we trade we need to trade for assets not picks. This team needs to get this oline fixed and they need a solid wr to go with kirk. The rams traded for assets not picks once they got their Qb. we have some serious needs at Wr and both lines and we need some real linebackers.
This front 7 is really bad the most glaring weakness is at linebacker.

The story came out after he supposedly refuted it. I wonder who the sources are. It's laughable when someone takes it as face value when Keim "refutes" it. Of course he's not going to announce to the fans what's going on in terms of trades. Totally unprofessional and unsettling to players. Not saying he's trading PP though. I would be shocked at that outcome.

The story came out after he supposedly refuted it. I wonder who the sources are. No telling a lot of times teams use sources to get it out there. On this team everyone is tradeable in my opinion except Rosen because you are gonna build a team around him. For me if we trade good players you need to get good players in return for particular positions. I would never trade good players for picks unless it was a crazy offer in a good draft class. Besides coaching that has been beat to death this team has to get much better in the trenches and at linebacker. We will get a Wr through the draft or free agency the focus has to be linebacker and the lines. I do think that the coaching is so bad and lacks creativity,I am convinced the coaches are making it harder in the trenches. Yesterday someone made a comment like it was Humphries fault that a free blitzer got to Rosen and he picked up his guy that was on the Qb and the coaches not calling a timeout or the Qb not changing the protection. There was no one there to pick up the blitzer.

Where there is this much smoke, there is probably fire. I hate to see things end this way- Michael, just accept that Wilks was a mistake and correct it now instead of shipping out all the talent. If Michael B allows the current inept staff to do trades and totally rebuild this team, we will suck for 8 years. You need to bring in a staff that PROVES ITSELF before allowing them to make these kind of decisions with the players.

the need for a total rebuild was a pile of %^#@ sold to mb by sk to keep his job...AND if you are going for a rebuild-WHY pay Bradford all that money? I again must wonder, how much would Josh McCown would have cost? He's a gamer, I'd bet he'd rather make what, $5 million playing instead of carrying Darnold's clipboard?
Full disclosure: I am the CEO of the Josh McCown Fan Club. Always liked the guy.
