Yeah, play him.... he's a tough kid mentally and he's not gonna let a bad team "ruin" him. He's gonna get experience on an NFL level which will help him moving forward. The oline isn't good but he can take a few sacks a game... you have to play him now that he was thrown into that situation. Starting Bradford again will lead me to stop watching the games, personally.

yeah because you personally are more important than the future of the team. when was the last time we opened with 3 losses. who was the coach? denny green. what qb fell into greens lap? linehart. and green ruined him. to tell the future all you have to do is look at the past. what happened last time you dropped a ball? give ya a hint, its not gonna fall up next time. I would rather have a qb of the future than a single viewer. linehart picked up so many bad habits under green he was a bust. wilks can and will do the same to rosen. but I don't see us getting another warner to bail us out. it was 2005 by the way. the last6 time we hired a clueless dc to coach the team. and buddy ryan before that. the cards need to forget about hireing defense for hc, those year are long gone. defense no longer wins championships, offense does. a defensive coach for head coach means you are satisfied with 4-5 wins for a good season. you seen what happened when haley left and whis floundered. history repeats its self over and over and over. ignore it at your own peril.

I just want to see a QB that is a threat to throw the ball downfield every series. Sam did a good job the first half being a threat and finding open receivers downfield for gains and TD's. He seems to loose his confidence fast(?). Give Rosen a few quarters to see what he can do, if he can move the team somewhat and keep us close, then Sam can act as 2nd string relief if need be. bears were surprised on opening drive-they clearly expected cards to run and dink n dunk...td pass to rsj was result of rookie cb biting on double move-he was open by 10 yds. 2nd td pass dj ran seam route-he is tough matchup downfield against lbs-he was so open he had time to turn towards Bradford and had to wait on the ball. but when bears dialed up the pressure sam WILTED like he ALWAYS DOES-especially after macks big hit.
imho Bradford should be traded or cut if decision is made to go with rosen....save the 4 mil...glennon can do no worse as rosens backup. sam has lost all credibility.

Agree Jeff! When Sam lay on the ground after the fumble with his head in his hands and his face in the dirt, he realized he just fumbled away what little career and chances to play he had left with the Cards. He KNows he should've been more vocal to McCoy on play selections. He was all smiles after the 1st qtr. But then the pressure was applied as the surprise of the start wore off the Bears D and Sam and McCoy started to fade. Rosen should've come into the game early in the 4th not at the 4 minute mark though to have had any chance to help put up even a FG to hold off the bears surge in the end. Wilks waited too long on that decision.

he has to now........and now McCoy can ruin him.....worse nightmare..lol I think Rosen is too bright to be ruined by an incompetent OC Jared Goff was fine after that incompetent staff he dealt with. I have to go on record Goff has proven me wrong he is a solid Qb.

I hope to god Rosen doesn’t start. Mike McCoy is a disaster, the offense has no hope as long as he’s calling the plays. Do you remember Goffs first season with that staff what do you think of him now ?

When you pull a QB in a situation like last night, hes done. Whatever they say they are "evaluating" is just lip service. There is no going back.

Isn’t it sacreligious to call out Rosen to start? Most people on this board seem to think so. I even heard it in the stands yesterday - some “diehard” fans saying Rosen would become damaged goods? I don’t get it though. All around the league there are rookie QBs making a difference and meanwhile we have a quality rookie QB “yeah but he was only the 10th pick”... and have some of the worst stats in the league but what are we supposed to do? Not give our QB of the future any real game time experience this year? Doesn’t make sense to try to over protect him. This is the NFL. Kid needs to play if the damaged goods are really the washed up veteran — Bradford.

At this point of course you start him.. See if he's the future and you build around him.

Now he showed me just how much a horrible coach / philosophy can ruin a guy and how much a good coach / philosophy can save a guy. I'll speculate that the key driver is time to get the savior in town. David Carr was destroyed by many years in Houston, Goff only had one year with the hapless Fisher.

I say no. Until the ol has come together as a squad, I don’t think a win is worth the chance of getting hurt.. if we are still losing games by week 6 then I would make the move. When the move is made, it’s permanent going forward.. imho

For me, we’ve seen all we needed to from Bradford. Rosen is learning nothing on the bench, let’s see what he does with a full week of prep practicing with the 1’s. This is my take as well. What bugs me though is Bradford taking the team up 14-0 in the 1st quarter and then falling off a cliff. In the end though, he fell off a cliff and I'd just like to see if there is improvement overall by eliminating him from the equation. Sam was always meant to be a bridge quarterback, I was expecting the Golden Gate, but I'm OK with a little footbridge over the irrigation ditch... Lol.
