A buddy of mine was out to dinner and he sat next to Larry's table where he was talking to a few guys about business. My friend mentioned he said he put his home on the market. What a shame that this fiasco could be his last year before he enters the Hall.

Fitz has more than 1 "home" from what I've read. But yeah if this season is toast then Fitz will call it at the end of the season. He only needs 350+yds to pass Terrell Owens for 2nd on all time yardage. But until the QB play is better getting 80+ receptions in the remaining 14 games may be too tough to get to go past Tony Gonzales for 2nd in all time receptions. At season start I thought this last category was easily attainable....but now the OC and QB have put that is serious doubt.

Or he might swallow his pride and sign one more contract with the Cardinals paying him (in all likelihood) far more than what he would get anywhere else. It's so sad that Fitzgerald has voluntarily signed contract after contract for 15 years to stay with the Cardinals. My heart aches for him.

I can't believe we blew it and signed the worst starting QB so far. Hopefully a ready to go Rosen for year 2 will entice him to stay. I know he wants to stay a Cardinal but we have not made it easy for him as far as QB situation.
If we have deja vu again in the first half time to play Rosen. Our team is just going through the motions, no fire.

Larry is the highest paid non-QB offensive player in NFL history. Not only is that amazing, but even more incredible, he received every dime of the from 1 team. Julius Peppers is the other non-QB on that list, but hes bounced around form place to place. www.businessinsider.com/highest-paid-nfl-players-2017-2#10-larry-fitzgerald-wr-1513-million-16Im a big fan of Larry the players, but moreso the person. Talk about someone every young athlete should look up to. From a work ethic standpoint, passion, dedication, personal conduct, respect, etc. However....Ive never agreed with this idea that Larry is some public servant of Arizona. What a wonderful guy for staying here his whole career. Nope, nope, nope. He got paid to be here. For all you know, he might hate AZ, waaaaay too hot compared to his actual home: Minnesota. But thats fine, it doesnt hurt my feelings. Larry is a business man, as that list shows, The Cards paid him VERY handsomely to stay here.

Big need for dripping sarcasm detection. Seriously, it's been several years since I was over any and all of the "poor Larry" stuff. Many opportunities to leave, never did. He's here because he wants to be here. And he makes more here than he would anywhere else. Smart moves financially.

Feeling sorry for Larry is one of the most annoying/dumb things I hear regularly.

I have tyo admit rim until you pointed it out it went over my head too. but I was trying not to post because may of you actually like the guy even tho I think his contracts are what kept us down for so many years. huge payoff for larry….the fans and the team not so much. he has been paid far more than any receiver behind him or ahead of him. far more than most players who have actually brought a Lombardi back to say thank you. far more than most quarterbacks who have won multiple superbowls. need a great qb to have a winning team? larry says you don't need a winning team, you need to pay me. the other 50 guys on the team...screw them. pay me.
and om his way out it looks like he mentored dj since his protégé honeybadger was given the boot. hopefully dj was the cards last long term bad contract. no more big guaranteed money. earn it on the field or let the money go to those who do.

Isn't Fitzgerald one of the highest paid guys on the team; sucking the salary cap out of some younger potential?
I thought they were supposed to rebuild team?

What a shame is not feeling sorry for Larry lol. I try real hard to temper my pity for a man that can afford his own country..even so sometimes a lone tear will well up in the corner of my eye when i think of the hardships poor ole Larry has endured in his years of bondage here in the desert...Damn its just Hard to maintain ! What in the hell did the man do to suffer the indignities the Cardinals forced upon his weary soul..........God bless you Larry Fitzgerald .......God Bless you
