Just like if he had showed up. as a football fan, thats a very strange nihilist view you have of GM interviews. I would argue that GM interviews can be more valuable than player interviews. All parties in every organization will practice coach speak, however I find Keim to usually be more open than most. Remember his heads are gonna roll comment after another amos jones special teams loss, and then subsequent heads did not roll? Keim gives us ammo to criticize Keim. I like when he speaks as often as possible

They were saying Keim was on the radio Friday morning. Can someone confirm this and what did he have to say.? Yes he was on. I tried to provide a link, but as a caveman I struggled. I did listen again so I could give you cliff note version: Discussed resigning David and how he wanted to be a Cardinal. Says it shows players in locker room they want to keep core and you will be rewarded. Fitz, Palmer, Jones, Peterson, and now David. My thought is You cant pay everyone though.... Talked about that he has been at Wash and UCLA scouting and getting ready for the 2019 draft. He said we got behind so early and put ourselves in a bad spot. Expected us to run better and says they will work on what they need to fix and fix it. His phone kept cutting out and wasnt a whole lot to it all honestly.

He probably doesn’t care what we “average” people think.. We aren’t worth his time.. NFL doesn’t care about the fans.. unless you can give the NFL money, you mean nothing to them.. elitists!! They are just too good, too important for the fans..

Thanks for the recap.
What I get from this is the usual whitewash and blather, plus confirming 'elite player class' thinking and the bulk of available money will go to them. Players are not idiots and I have to question whether this inspires the many lower tier players (who must support the elites if any wins are to follow) to actually give their best on the field or to want to stay with the team if a better offer comes along.
Another takeaway: it seems very early to be scouting as a GM. Does that mean he doesn't trust his paid scouting team, or there are not enough of them to go around? More likely it is a lot easier to be away from home leaving troubles behind, if only temporarily. Then too, being away from pointing fingers, sly glances and comments eases the pain, and few would recognize him out of state at night sneaking a few shots or beers, or would care. Not to say he drinks on the road, just conjecturing.
Sorry if this sounds like sour grapes or being overly critical, but SK left me behind some time ago when it comes to respect and trust in his abilities as GM of the Cardinals. He may be good at making trades, but that's about the extent of it - IMO.

He spouted a few meaningless words, Wolfley moved on with zero challenge. It was empty words, nothing more.
Keim Chat is to throw some kibble to those hungry for something to fill the void between Sundays, nothing more. Zero chance he ever says anything of substance. Well, unless you think "we are going to put the best darn players on the field on Sundays and if that means we make roster moves then we will!" to be something of substance.

Agree on the scouting. I'd guess / hope Keim can't have another 2016-style draft debacle without either his head rolling or some scouts heads rolling. I'd presume he'd buy himself another year or two by rolling some scout heads.
