Probably going get some disagreement on this, but after watching those highlights of Sam, I’m going to say he is more accurate and better passer than Carson was. Does make me get more excited to see him play.

Looks like he burned the Badger twice back in 2015 when Tyrann was having his best season!

Does make me get more excited to see him play. His accuracy is , just . He and carson are different QB's tho, Carson much more of a risk taker and, if I may say, got happy feet and missed throws he normally otherwise would not. Sam will take hit after hit to make a play a la Kurt. But Sam will also not put his team/defense in bad situations on risky 3rd and long plays with little/no chance of success, especially with receivers he does not trust. But the thing that surprises everyone who studies Sam for the first time is not just his accuracy (comp %) but his crazy ball placement on each throw. I've heard a few Cardinal defenders talking about it already.
The honest truth is what Chip Kelly said whn they traded for Sam in Philadelphia: "Let's face facts, if this guy had not gotten hurt there would be zero chance of the rams letting him out the building.."
So there is the rub, if he stays healthy he is going to be very good, and if another receiver or two emerge he is going to be GREAT. It really is that simple.

That would rule out JJ and likely other small guys we have now.
I hope that lack of WR options is not too painful...

Signing to Dez to a one year contract could surely help in that respect. Just what we need really.

I hope that lack of WR options is not too painful... Fitz and Ricky-Seals give him two great jump ball options. We just need JJ and the rest to create space.

Sam will start week 1. And if the team does not at all win games then turn to Rosen.

I was going to say that R S-Jones is a TE and Fitz will probably not run long routes, but then caught myself and agree. We will be tossing shorter stuff than before so yes, he figures in. Still WR is a lack that might be needed at times. Fitz will be doubled... and JJ and others not, I'm guessing. Can't just ignore that position forever as it is a limiting factor that opponents can use to advantage.

I love guys comparing Sam to Kurt and Palmer. Kurt Warner was an NFL MVP and Palmer actually had an NFL career. Sam looks great throwing the ball but he has done virtually nothing with the exception of getting incredibly rich based purely on potential that has never been reached.
If he starts and gets us into the playoffs it will be the first time for Sam. I hope he does it but there is absolutely nothing in his past performance that indicates he can lead a team to the end zone let alone the playoffs.

They played on one of the worst o-lines in the league and they managed to live through it.. I used to feel bad for Palmer.. A couple seasons ago he took like 25 hits in one game LOL... Guys like Brady take maybe 25 hits an entire season.. Man this o-line was shitty..

In fairness to Brady, he knows how to slide in the pocket and has an incredible knowledge of where pressure is coming from and where to go with the ball. It's a huge underestimated part of his game. He has incredible awareness and feel on the football field that comes from instinct and preparation. That's part of what puts him in the conversation for GOAT.
