I am thinking that possibly Hakeem Butler will be the reason we don't focus on a TE. Before we drafted Hakeem, he was more of and end zone type of guy. But, if I remember correctly, his catch ratio in college was 50/50. I wouldn't worry too much about the TE position until we see how Hakeem pans out this season. I am hoping that at least one of the 3 WR we drafted last season pans out. It will be horrible if he busts. That would mean that of 3 WR's drafted, zero panned out. And I am not thinking about can any of them eventually break out. We should not be drafting for a player to eventually break out.

I truly hope this is not factual as if our FO is interested in Olson their priorities are so far out of touch the overhaul of management needs to happen sooner rather later.

Olson himself appears to be well over the hill and past his best years and I agree with you all that we shouldn't be signing him.
However, if we are seriously looking at bringing in a top notch and much younger TE (who is in his prime years) then that would be an entirely different matter. - I would be well up for that.
To my mind that would signal a realisation by the FO as to what might work going forward and allow us to prosper. - Yes, more double TE schemes. - This might not engender the same enthusiasm in the masses, but I feel that it is a practical/ pragmatic solution: to give more protection for our QB and retain viable weapons on the field.
Thus Maxx Williams + A N Other stationed either end of the line giving Murray lots of options to throw to as well as the TIME to do so. - Dan Arnold I feel will be used primarily as a potent end zone threat.

Arnold will absolutely be an end zone guy. Murray has already said he loves having him as a tall target.

Fire Steve Keim!! Tyrann Mathieu made the All Pro team. I hate SK so much lol aaaahahahahah That is awesome sports news for Tyrann Mathieu, #32. But, poor poor Steve. I'm sure he's got a list of excuses in his pocket. I predict that another Cardinal will make AP's First Team All-Pro in 2020. RB David Johnson. But not as a Cardinal. Here's another take-it-to-the-bank prediction: GM Steve Keim is still not done wheeling and dealing FAs and draft picks. There's one more shiny object to move. Our #1 CB with a few dents is prime time. The move may happen anytime between now and Draft start, but I seriously think it's going to happen. Many GMs will take Steve Keim's call. The move will be good for the man's wallet and Cardinals immediate future.

Until he sprouts a halo. (Or is this a side effect of sobriety?) A couple more good seasons of GM performance, then maybe a change of mind.
However, like FLCF I have concern with a few players hogging the payroll. Where and how does it end?

That does not mean he's moved into my Penthouse! He's still on my dog chain. Flipping Johnson for Hopkins was a masterstroke, atypical of our former drunkard GM. Drake also panned out. See, being sober does have an upside. Next, the revised roster has to produce wins and a playoff spot. That trick will get the GM unleashed and a key to the town!

DHop just signed a 2 yr extension for $54 Mil. Hmmm...So is SK still in the forum's doghouse? One player erases all other mistakes? Like retaining Zane Gonzalez who showed early signs of choking and cost us two games (Miami and NE)? Keim's failure to act cost us 2 games. Those are on Keim
Look at the poor drafts. We are thin on the offensive and defensive line. We have no DL now because of poor drafts over the years. Injuries happen to all teams but good teams compensate with depth due to quality drafting from good GM's.

problem is /; sk will be here for sure next year n probably the year after that. I agree. He was just signed to his extension. When the Cards go 5-11/6-10 the Cards will be riding the "we are improving" bandwagon. 2-3 years down the road we'll revisit that progress. Here we are a couple years down the road..lol

www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/30479710/michigan-ad-says-meet-football-coach-jim-harbaugh-season-discuss-futureFor members that still covet Jim Harbaugh as an NFL HC, this article indicates that U of Michigan's love of the former Wolverine is about ended. In a few weeks, maybe by January after all the bowls are done, we will know JH's fate at UofM. He won't last on the open market. Some NFL owner (example Detroit Lions Ford family or GM) will swoop in and sign JH as HC. Harbaugh did not get along well with SF FO management toward the end of his HC job. He was grouchy and demanding of his players. When the team fortunes went south, JH had no way to recover their focus and spirit. He also wears oversized khaki pants and baggy shirts. There is nothing fruity and skinny about this guy.
