RAiders have given up on the season.
But we might not have Buddha and our Oline is shambles.
I suspect the Raiders will come to play smelling another weak shark in the water.

Darren Urban @cardschatter: Wilks: Budda Baker, Chad Williams out for Sunday. K Phil Dawson, DT Rob Nkemdiche and T DJ Humphries are questionable. Team worked out K Matt McCrane as possible Dawson backup. Not signed yet.

I'm not taking anything for granted this weekend. On paper we are clearly favorites and the Raiders are going through a torrid time out on the pitch, but... at the top level of professional sport there are no 'easy' games, rather they are only 'hard' and 'harder still'.
Should we play at or near to our maximum then I am confident that we will win well. - Should, however, either the players performance level or mental focus drop, even say by 10%, then we will probably lose and rightly so.
I do sense that Oakland will view this fixture as a real chance to gain a welcomed victory and thus help them salvage some much needed pride (both personally and also for the team as a whole). - It's tempting to believe that they have 'thrown in the season', but ultimately each individual could well be playing for their own professional career and the stakes dollar wise are potentially huge. - In short, this fixture could turn out to be tough and a real arm wrestle. We shall wait and see...
My main hope is that our offence line gives us a lot more solidity. At this point I am trusting that things are being worked on in training and that modifications are being put in place to achieve this. Also, it would be great if some of our young O/Linesmen who may not have featured that much or at all this season are given a start in the line-up. If so, I am sure that one or two will surprise us and take their chance to impress.
Lets go get that third win...

Not having Budda for the game will hurt the defense. Hopefully it being the Raiders it won’t hurt as bad.

I’m coming to terms with the fact that this is the first Cardinals game I may actually want us to lose. I was so hard on KerryRhodes last year for wanting to lose.

I will always want to see a win. Having said that, and with our current situation, this is one of the few years where I won't sulk if we lose. My main concern this year is Jose Rosen. He more than anyone else, coach or player, is our future. First and foremost we need to keep him healthy. After that...I think winning a few games will do more for him than moving up in the draft. No matter what, we're going to get a high draft choice. The key is to choose wisely.

I might not watch this game. Two really bad teams that might get the RedZone treatment from me.

Man I get people saying losing is good for the draft pick but the fan in me would never root for a loss or not watch a game. It’s like why be a fan, in those cases. I get it long term vs short term but I just can’t root for a loss.

Is this a “trap game” for our 2-7 Cardinals? Seriously, we could be overconfident against the 1-8 Raiders. Even as a lifelong fan I’m having trouble getting up for a game like this. Could be worse, it could be on MNF! Cards 27-10. Using the words "trap game" and "overconfident" when talking about a 2-7 team is just a little ludicrous.

I get it long term vs short term but I just can’t root for a loss. I feel the same way. If nothing else you salvage as many wins as you can in a losing season to try and have something to build on the following season beyond just the draft.
