I didn't expect the win but in the NFL you'll take wins no matter how you get them. Niners are pretty banged up and lose their kicker in the game. That's the NFL.
What you all think of Tom Brady? At times he fumbled his words and struggled to enunciate but overall he brought a fresh approach. The biggest thing with me and former players becoming broadcasters is not making it all about themselves. We've seen that plenty and it's very boring.
I'm glad Penzing reads my threads and our forum because we were all screaming for Kyler to run the ball. And what do you know, Kylers first TD is the longest run since the 1950's by a Cardinals QB. It makes that big of a difference.
Credit to the Cardinals defense, no points allowed in the second half. Who saw that coming?
I"m still not feeling the on field play of Marvin Harrison Jr. And Kyler. It still seems out of sorts. But I can acknowledge expectations are probably too high. Marvin is still and rookie and this relationship will grow (hopefully).
Having McBride back made a big difference.
No pressure on the opposing QB is a huge detriment in trying to win. I don't think I've ever seen a Cardinal team as bad as this one in getting to the QB.
James Conner is a beast. I can cut and paste this every week. Man is hungry for a new contract.
I know San Fran has a lot of injuries but something doesn't look right there. I'm not sure they turn things around this year.
Beachum did a great job against Bosa. This guy has ben really valuable in filling in for us as a swing tackle.
I saw clips of Monti jumping around and hugging players after the win. Love the guys enthusiasm. Now get us a pass rusher dude.
Fred Warner is one of the best defensive players in the NFL if not the best. He plays mean.
were 2-3 now, I think that's pretty good and where I expected us this year. We're not making the playoffs but we're making progress.

I think Cowboys are in disarray and the NFC has plenty of teams on the downswing. Retirements and injuries have taken their toll. And Beachum has usually been serviceable even though I think we still need to check out Hump. I'm less concerned about our defense. It's got a ton of young talent, except on the DL, and 'secondary' rookies usually progress faster than most, if worth a damn. With constant playing time, they can improve in half a season just like we saw Detroit's defense come on late last year. Our key is going to be Connor staying healthy and Benson getting up to speed to lighten Connor's load. If Connor can keep chugging along, Kyler doesn't need to do much but manage games. At least to 'sneak' us into playoffs. I expect our defense to make significant second half strides so I'm actually more worried about our offense at this juncture. Plus, all our defense really needs to do is add one serious pass rusher to make a difference. How many NFC teams are really on the upswing outside of Washington?

Had I just thought about it a sec I'd have remembered the Commandos scored 42. There was no quarter they did not score in. It was totally sickening.

To date, I just have not seen anything from Benson that makes me think he can get up to speed. I really thought he would be much better than what I have seen from him. If he does not improve considerably, we are going to have to use our other back up RB's to help relieve Connor...
Connor is just killing it...I just can't see how he can maintain that standard for the whole season...
YOU NEED TO BREAK OUT BENSON...NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could care less if Benson is ready…another one of those have to trust the FO on the pick and maybe needs development with the few actual college snaps he had. (Maybe Allan from WI was the best pick at RB)
Carter is rotting on the PS and a proven weapon.
May not have been in the plan, but resign Conner…he has earned it. They love them some Demacardo though. I hope they have a better plan on active RB choices than the choices so far.

You guys are thinking my thoughts... or I yours.
Benson so far is shooting blanks.
Carter and Demercado are a bit of a puzzle as of now.
Carter because in the past he has been a good substitute for Connor when Connor is resting, and Demercado (as I understand) is a poor to failing blocker.
I don't argue De--do can't run well, especially given a little gap in the line to work with, but IMO he is not the equal in Connor's use as a battering ram all day, as it seems is happening to date.
I have concerns that JG is riding Conner too hard, and we'll see him break down before too much longer, but that's opinion only. I don't want to think it is the plan. Conner seems to be holding up OK so far but he takes lots of big hits and cannot do that forever. He is a potent weapon I would hate to lose later in the season when it could mean a lot, and I would hate to see his NFL career end sooner than it should. I like the guy. He's an exemplary football player and seems a good human being - a good combo to have.
BUT I am not a coach, and not paid to think or speak to or for MO, JG or MB, which is another way of saying...
IMHO

I believe your thoughts on Demarcado’s blocking are inaccurate. I think one of the reasons he is valuable is his pass protection.

I am good if we win 8 to 9 games...preferably 9 to have a winning season. Next season will be thrilling if we boost our defense...

I believe your thoughts on Demarcado’s blocking are inaccurate. I think one of the reasons he is valuable is his pass protection. You are probably right about Demercado as a blocker. I'd swear I read that he had a rating of 5 (which in that report was low) but I can't find it again to check. I did find one report for our first game this season where he was rated at 59 on a different scale (but no way to know whether that is good or bad) but no reports on our later games to use for statistical balance. PFF probably has info available but I refuse to pay to find out. I'm tight with cash.
