Due to popular demand the determinate formula has been reviewed and changed, and is now as follows -
1) Member needs to correctly predict the game outcome; win for Rams or win for Cardinals (any brave sole is welcome to predict a tied game).
2) Thereafter we consider the difference between the Cardinals actual points score and that predicted; the Cardinals margin number (CMN).
3) Then the same for the Rams; the Rams margin number (RMN).
4) Add CMN with RMN and the lowest total member score wins (PROVIDING they predicted the correct game result). IF there is a tied total score, then the one that may have a lower CMN would prevail (i.e.; that Cardinal prediction would take precedent).
For example - Game score is Rams 26 - 32 Cardinals
There are two tied lowest total score predictions, as follows -
Member A - predicted Rams 20 - 30 Cardinals, we have a CMN of 2 and a RMN of 6, hence a total score of 8
Member B - predicted Rams 30 - 36 Cardinals, we have a CMN of 4 and a RMN of 4, hence a similar total score of 8
In the above, then Member A would WIN as his CMN is LOWER
This methodology is easy to understand, transparent and will be quick to determine the winning entries.
