DL Angelo Blackson signs with Cardinals -- Monti/JG need to get the 2 FA DL's to play much better - Angelo Blackson signed by Cardinals Looks like Rams will be starting some OL who were on the PS Week #1 -- Petzing better unleash MHJ and it is time for Zaven/X. Thomas/Gardeck need to eat this week. I hope the crowd is very loud making it very, very difficult with the Rams backups on the OL. Any news yet on RT Jonah Williams injury ?

This guy seems to always be able to find temp work. I wonder why he doesn't stick with a team. Anyway, glad he's with ARZ for now. Maybe he will get to the active roster soon.

I liked Blackson enough when he was here. That was awhile ago, do not think he has trended upwards since then. Not many practice squad signings are going to move the needle much at this point, but maybe we are surprised by one. No news on Jonah is probably bad news I am guessing. Hope to be wrong.

The Rams LT can Not handle a fast outside pass rusher had at least 3 holding penalties against Lion's Pass rusher. Rallis need to exploit this weakness Sunday. Neither can Beachum...it is an easy adjustment. Put a TE next to the slow tackle and have the TE chip before going in a route or chip with a RB. I thought that was Jonah's weakness as well. Cards OLBs are not as good as Lions edge players...I hope they prove this statement wrong. Rams are down at least 3 OL since the pre season and lost 1-2 from the Lions game. Stafford can sling the fast ball quick to assist the OL as well as Sean scheming quick patterns. The run is still the thing the Card defense has to prove they can stop.

This game is still about controlling the clock and keeping the Cards defense off the field, turnovers and scoring TDs over FGs.

Rams top PFF player was Johnson @ safety. Goff's 43 made him victorious over mid 50's rating of Stafford. The short ball kept Stafford in the game against a great pass rush as well as semi-healthy.
Cards have to stop the run...Wilson over a nickel CB...Please.
I hope Rabbit gets some snaps. The Cards limited Bills 2 TEs one catch each. Two defenders on Kupp all game please.

I've read Rams have a lot of OLine problems. But we have virtually ZERO pass rush. Interesting combination. Did not see the Peanut Butter Falcone do much last Sunday. This is his time to shine.

RG and RT are currently questionable
The left side of the OL has been devastated and they are playing a rookie at center.

Well, the Thursday night game reflects how good the Bills are.

Week one across the NFL...the offensive numbers are down and rushing the ball is up. The short passing game and run game by offenses, running two deep safety formations on defenses.
The Bills look good on defense on Thursday.
The Card's performance on Sunday against the Rams will be a good barometer for the team's state.
I do not want to see a forcing of the ball to MHJ. I would like to see Drew have more plays designed for MHJ, Wilson and McBride.

Julian Okwara edge has been added to roster from the PS.
Fourth year player who was Lion’s 3rd round pick in 2020.
His older brother Romeo plays for Detroit and at 6’4” and 250 LBs is the right size at OLB…we will see if he takes advantage of this opportunity.

How important is a Card win today?
About 9.5% of the teams who start 0-2 get in the playoffs.
Hutchinson in week one 9 QB pressures...Cards entire defense week one 10 QB pressures
Kupp 21 targets and 14 receptions in week one.
Rams have been one of the best defenses that do not rush past K1 or give run lanes off drop backs. Just as the DL is attempting to rush in a technically sound way the OL can create throwing and running lanes for K1 in a similar fashion as creating rushing lanes for RBs on run downs.
K1 gives the Cards an opportunity to win and it takes a team to assist him.
I hope K1 doesn't get impatient and force down field attempts. Check downs are good options if that is what the defense is giving. Just get the ball in the weapons hands and let them cook and make plays.
