Doesn't blame the players and takes responsibility for the way players are performing. I hope though he doesn't keep putting it all on the coaches. Sometimes you can't coach up the talent some of it is on the players.

Sometimes you can't coach up the talent some of it is on the players. You can bet he and coaches are not going soft on poor performances. By his taking public responsibility it takes the media heat off the players. This allows them to hopefully improve without all that extra stress.

I like that HC Gannon is not a dramatic person. He chooses words carefully, speaks carefully, and does carefully what he says. He is thoughtful as a coach and probably a husband and father to his kids. I can't ask for more from a football man and daddy.
The players play the game. I hold them fully accountable for play execution.

I always appreciated a great leader taking accountability during the bad results and giving credit to the players during the good fortunes. Let’s hope there is a lot of credit going on this year 😉!
