Obviously the case.
Someone correct me if wrong, but hasn't Tune had ONE in-season game
experience last year without a star WR, and only preseason games with
lower level players this year? That's not much to make an accurate pass/fail
assessment.
It may prove valid to eventually consider him to be unfit as a backup QB, but
I'd rather defer that conclusion until he has had enough game experience to
make it more positive, for better or worse. Besides, who is available now
who is absolutely proven to be preferable, and for so little expense?
After watching Ridder since his arrival here vs.Tune, then if Ridder is good
enough to keep on the PSquad (in the eyes of coaches) it would seem that
Tune surely merits being the preferred backup - at present.
That being the case, we armchair critics can't dispute with certainty since
we cannot see all aspects of any of the players, as do coaches.
But - being critical and second guessing is part and parcel of being a fan, so
keep it up, bird watchers.
IMHO
