Didn't we have Huntley before??? Nah man, are you thinking of Dobbs? Nope, Knobby and belac pegged the right QB, Hundley.

Ridder is on the PSquad so I doubt they bring in another QB. Km & Tune, then Ridder if either of the 2 on the roster gets hurt.

Or you think they like Tune too much to risk losing him? Which makes no sense too me, I could care less if someone takes him. I dont think he is a good 3rd string, let alone a backup QB

I think he would be safe there, but depending on who we get at backup QB, do we really care that much?

JG apparently does not share y'all thoughts on Tune's capabilities.

Obviously the case.
Someone correct me if wrong, but hasn't Tune had ONE in-season game experience last year without a star WR, and only preseason games with lower level players this year? That's not much to make an accurate pass/fail assessment.
It may prove valid to eventually consider him to be unfit as a backup QB, but I'd rather defer that conclusion until he has had enough game experience to make it more positive, for better or worse. Besides, who is available now who is absolutely proven to be preferable, and for so little expense?
After watching Ridder since his arrival here vs.Tune, then if Ridder is good enough to keep on the PSquad (in the eyes of coaches) it would seem that Tune surely merits being the preferred backup - at present.
That being the case, we armchair critics can't dispute with certainty since we cannot see all aspects of any of the players, as do coaches.
But - being critical and second guessing is part and parcel of being a fan, so keep it up, bird watchers.

To be fair, it was a historically poor showing. Lost 27-0, and we had 58 net offensive yards and only 17 net yards passing. Seven sacks, 2 interceptions and a lost fumble. It was in the top three worst Cardinal games I’ve ever seen. Unwatchable, but I watched it all.

Not saying they should throw up their hands and resign themselves to that circumstance, they need to SOGOTP….find a K1 backup that is the real deal….please.

Yes, it was a stinker all around. But we can't blame Tune for all of it, or much of it. I saw no protection from the OL for the QB, and both offense and defense reeked in all aspects. Keystone Cops in action. (for those who know that reference)
A horrible example of football, for which we must trust some good resulted.

The Ravens have signed Tyler Huntley. Bummer, I figured it was probably a long shot as he has spent all but 3 years of his life back East. Add in team/city familiarity and thats a wrap.

Here is my take on all of this. You will see where I am coming from.
Some of you know I am a Gardner Minshew fan. Minshew became an Eagle when the acquired him from the Jacksonville Jaguars. It only cost them a 6th round pick. Long story short.
We had a chance to pick him up but he signed with the Colts and ended up being the starter due to injury. Gannon knew his play as an Eagle.
Now he goes to the Raiders and is their starter this season. I read an article where it says NFL executives and coaches hate the fact that he is starting, I find this ridiculous
So Jonathan Gannon knew the player Minshew and still didn't pick him up Same with QB Tyler Huntley we have Cleveland coaches who knew Huntley from their time with the Browns and knowing the system.
So there has to be reasons. Why their former coaches said no, I want guys that are good backups that push the starter to be better. Tune, Ridder are not these guys. Colt McCoy was not either. Gardner Minshew and Huntley are. I don't want them to start but I want them to be ready if they do have to start. We can't go into a season like we did when Palmer then Stanton went down. Sitting at 13-3 and not a chance to go deep in the playoffs because we stuck with backups who could not deliver in the clutch. .

Minshew as a FA is just not coming here. This is Kyler’s team and of course he would go somewhere where he can and did win the starting job. We also have to appeal to the player if it is a FA thing. I have no clue what effort they put in on Huntley. If the rumor was true that they were a team that called to see his availability, one would assume they made some effort. He is from Florida and all his NFL stuff has been North East. Going back to where he knows the staff, players and offense was obviously appealing to him. I want a better back up, we are doomed with Tune if he has to play. Minshew was just not an option and would have been a short term stop gap years ago as the man wants to start.
