Well, we got nothing for Rondale Moore. And we got nothing at the position after cutting Dobbs. Meanwhile now I think PJ Walker having been cut by the Seahawks would be worth a shot as I'd feel better about three QB's on the roster and Walker has veteran experience. I recall how well he played against us as a rookie.

Gambo is reporting that Michael Carter is signing BACK with the Cards on the PS as is LB K. Barnes so all of the most surprising cuts cleared waivers apparently. 98.7 is talking about all Cardinal cuts have cleared waivers except for LB Nowaske who is back with the Lions. P.S. Late find - OL Marquis Hayes has been signed to PS

Didnt they get a 6th round draft pick for Dobbs? Oh maybe I missed that......I don't know. Yeah they traded him to the Vikings for a conditional 6th round pick, depending on how many starts he got. But in the end, it was like just releasing him...

I bring this up more out of amusement than anything else. Way before the draft. Some of us was talking about AI and experimenting with what it could do. I asked it....Who should the Cardinal's draft? I can't remember all its suggestions, but I do remember Spencer Rattler being one of them....an easy name to remember so it stuck with me. At the time, I knew nothing about him or any other college player...I don't follow college ball, but as said, the name stuck with me. Now I see he is getting glowing reviews, and some think he will be starting before the season is over. He was drafted in the 5th round. This is all hindsight, but could we have gotten a 5th round pick for Rondal Moore? I don't know, even if not, he does seem to be a steel in the 5th round. You can take this for what you will. This is just one article of many kind of saying the same thing. New Orleans Saints rookie QB Spencer Rattler massively hyped by NFL expert
I don't think AI is good enough yet to predict these kinds of things, but it wasn't wrong about him. It's kind of funny but interesting none the less.

It's kind of funny but interesting none the less. Interesting. I have stated in the past that it would be a good practice to draft a QB or even two every year, or pick up one as an UDFA. The idea of this is to fish for a real keeper at little cost, since a good QB is like money in the bank - you can't have enough of it. I think I even suggested Rattler, but maybe that was in a PM to someone since I can't find it when checking old posts.
Rattler was picked in the 5th round... Some will argue that is "wasting" a pick, but when it is a later round pick, why not? One never knows when another Purdy pops up.

People who research and write for a living may find AI a timesaver. Good or bad, I am seeing AI increasingly on the Forum. The chosen AI algorithm can spit out colorful prose faster than a 2-year-old squirting his mac & cheese across the family dinner table. But is the product valued? It depends on one's taste.
I recently experimented with Microsoft Co-Pilot, resetting language to be more grammatically precise. The tool asked me to do an experiment. I thought it odd that a computer was asking me to engage it (Hal liked to play games on the space station--how did that turn out for the crew?). I complied. Then, I thought I got suckered. Rather than being the dominant partner, I was the slave to the AI algorithm.
Now, I can't ignore the not-so-subtle Co-Pilot cues to 'correct' and 'improve' my messaging. I accept the suggestions. I am aware that my messaging is grammatically correct. What is lost when I say 'yes, accept the change' is my writing style disappears. My bias is eliminated. Sometimes, I want to be me when I write and share a 'biased' thought. I don't always want to be socially correct.
I can't get another thought out of my head: the writer who criticized the Cardinals for cutting Ridder may have been playing an all-too-familiar social justice card when the HC did not choose Ridder to be Murray's #2. The evidence lies in the writer's assessment that Ridder earned #2 based on work done at ATL in 2023 and that Tune failed in his sole outing vs. CLE in 2023. The writer appears to discount what the QBs have done for the team in 2024.
IMHO (like Knobby says)

When the AI starts writing responses to other ppl's post is the day I AM OUTTA here! CBLTV, that is already happening. Not at this Forum, but it is happening in other places. "AI speak" is easy to spot. I mentioned that to the Forum members earlier this year. The richest company in the world is creating new programs on chips every year, offering a magnitude increase in computing power. Quantum computing will soon relieve us humans of mundane duties like creating and socializing. Smart machines will visit and cull us next. OooooooH NooooO!
