Interesting move for sure. Must have been on his way out so got something for him. Odd considering that is a weak position. Turned a 3rd round pick into a 7th, good stuff. I really liked Cam in college...he became a classic tweener in a bad way. I noticed he was not getting push against Denver in the 5 tech and ran past the QB in the 7 tech...not good when on the bubble...he was playing against low level competition and did not show good enough. This reminds of my own pet peeve: Gunners during kickoff or even punt coverage that run right past the ball carrier. Over. And over.

I don’t like this trade. We need every pass rusher we can get plus I liked his development he had nothing but upside & low cap hit what’s not to like ? Hell if he played well this season & left for FA we could have gotten a higher pick than the Chiefs 7th. In short this trade stinks.

I like Cameron…yet there are hard choices to make and several moving parts as well as Cameron may have pushed for a trade as well. There is evidence or information we are not privy to. We are talking about the bottom of the roster…just a speed bump in the journey

It's a lot easier cutting the Keim draft picks, wether it's attitude or performance.
It's a lot harder to cut your own guys.
This guy must have been bad because there is no depth at this position, actually there's little talent.
If he does nothing with the Chiefs then it's understandable. But if he does......

Being a Keim holdover, I might've expected this move but with Ojulari going down for the year and Thomas playing well this preseason, I'm a little surprised. I believe Ossenfort and Sears are gearing toward 2025-'26 before they spend serious cap on outside help. We'll see. I am okay with the cautious approach as another injury could really put this team in a really bad position. The thing is, we have no idea what this team is going to be like. Nobody played…. We are all going to be pleasantly surprised or this board is going to have a meltdown the first half of the Bills game to epic proportions. I am worried about the pass rush as I believe we all have the right to be. What have they seen from Zaven in “practice” to make them think he was worthy of an extension and better than last year?? Gardeck has the heart like Budda, but also like Budda, limited physically. Xavier Thomas has given hope for fans desperate for some form of a good pass rusher. Will he come through, or did he have a Cap Capi type preseason that does not translate to regular season. So many questions to be answered. I still think another edge gets picked up soon, but they had to be okay with one not becoming available. Unlike others, I would not throw money at Reddick. I doubt he even wants a return. He is an East coast guy and had his stint here. I wish Cam the best, I felt he tried here. Just did not work out. I agree on all of your points. We are all going to be pleasantly surprised or this board is going to have a meltdown the first half of the Bills game to epic proportions. The fact that Zach Wilson basically destroyed our defensive depth is a HUGE concern heading into week one.

Hopefully none of those guys are on the field and if having to sub them in, it’s not as bad if it is just covering a position or two. Saddle up!

They have tried to upgrade on him as back up twice, it just has not worked. I think they prefer he would be a third developmental QB.

Probably why they refuse to get rid of Tune. Tune was just drafted last year. When he played a bit last year, it was as a rookie. Now you want to axe him before his sophomore season even starts? I like the idea of drafting and developing QBs when you already have a starter firmly in place. It seems as though that could be a lucrative practice. Will Tune ever develop? I would submit that 3 years would be more fair to him than one.

Cam Thomas rolled up the best stats as a pass rusher on the team this preseason and it'd have been a lot easier to digest if they'd have picked a different guy to try to pass off to KC. I suspect that your comment about it being harder to cut your own guys holds water.
