There is a definite increase in OL size and strength since 2022. The RB room is loaded with size. The WR room has Dortch as the only WR under 6’. The Cards have the two receiving TEs and added Tip and Vokolek who are 6’5” and 6’6” and in the 270LB range…small OL tackles who can catch a ball or two. Then on defense Tonga is the NT on run downs at 6’5” 350LBs They also signed Jones and Nichols as vet DTs who can stabilize the young DL players around them. Edge really only has 3 player option currently Gardeck, Collin’s and XT…Luketa and Victor are ST players and only 3 ILBs…and heavy on safeties, so a single ILB with a nickel backer or safety will be the go to…Wilson will be taking edge snaps. 11 DBs the rotation JG likes. It looks like the zone blitz or zone rush will be the recipe for QB pressure. OL will have a hard time identifying who the rush players are. The depth at DB will be tapped and JG has his 6 DL rotation. It will be interesting… TBD how much of a jump the D will have…there have been a definite increase in the floor at all three levels of the defense. Hey Montana! This is an excellent summarization of the Ossenfort 2-year rebuild project. We know this is what "team rebuild" looks like following the disastrous Keim reign. Is Ossenfort done? No. Good GMs are always working to make the team better. A winning team is a constant work-in-progress. The Defense is much better--even without BJO (IR) and Robinson (miss 2 games?). CB is a question yet. The Offense is much better at WR and RB. I'm salivating. Coaching is definitely much better due to JG's work philosophy, team leadership, and player communication. We saw how JG wants to attack when he has all hands on deck: run, run, and run. Wear down the D. All gas. No brakes. Speed, violence, and intelligence rule the day. I have #1 QB concerns. KM is 100% healthy. And, he now has much better tools around him (as you note, RB/WR/TE are groomed for KM). So, does KM win now? He has to put points on the scoreboard. TDs are mandatory. 35-to-40 point games have to be the OC's goal. Also, I offer a round of applause for the scouts and roster decision-makers. Almost all of the players selected in the two Draft classes 2023 and 2024 made the final cuts. Showtime for KM and the Cardinals is 2024-2025. Let's do this!

I saw that PHI cut him ahead of the crowd on Tuesday. That's a good sign, IMV. He had a head start to find a job elsewhere. Okwara played in a lot of games since being drafted a few years ago. He's durable since Notre Dame. Smart though? Playing LB tests the best in the NFL. 6'4" and tough. I think that's what JG likes about Okwara.

It looks like the media is already starting to turn on Ossenfort. Which makes no sense, its just the beginning of year 2 of this rebuild. They JUST took over Keims disaster last year. Did anyone really think they could come in and turn around this team in 1-2 years after the last regime? The offense already looks improved. Are there holes on defense? Yes, but you cant expect them to come in and within 2 years fix all the issues. On offense, the main issue is oline, can they hold up and be the oline they were towards the end last year where they were a top 5 rushing team? If so, then the offense is looking really good. All Im saying is, we have seen a lot of improvements and they havent even used a lot of resources to get here. Mainly draft picks and low end FA signings. Next year they will have a lot of money and draft picks to put the pieces together. But this year is too soon. See how the offense works with KM under center for a full year. To me that is still a question mark under the new regime. Do they want to stick with KM? All signs point to yes, but at least if he duds out this year, they will have a lot of resources to make some big splash moves next year. BTW I was referring to this article:
Will Arizona Cardinals’ long-term vision hold true?

Carter may move around. He essentially got a pay cut through the move.
