The entire preseason game performances from the Cards were bad to ugly. No matter who the starters are the product fielded by the Cards was an embarrassment.
The staff may have been giving the lower end of the roster playing time, too many of them didn't look like NFL-level players starting with the backup QBs.

This was easy. Good- Weaver Bad- Ridder Ugly- Tune But…..but what about muh defense? The lack of it qualifies for bad and ugly...even with some QB pressure Victor and Cameron run past the QB instead of bending towards them. There was some good by Murphy and Cameron and Hoskins they each had a couple good plays. The secondary was ugly...sidelines and crossing routes were left without any coverage.

What were these guys doing at spring OTAs and summer TC practices? Some of them were lost.

As I said before, Im not going to judge this team based off preseason, as they have chosen to work on the backups vs the starters. However, seeing what they have so far with their backups, I just dont know what to make of it. They have looked horrible the past 3 weeks. The backup oline in particular. Missed assignments, getting over powered, or just getting left in the dust with a swim move. Gaines has looked bad, Colon has been a turnstile, just letting guys in the backfield over and over again. He also has been well out of position on screens, even broke up his own teammates screen. The backup QB spot is in shambles, God forbid they have to come in to spell KM at a critical time. Defensively, the dline has been easily pushed around. Today, they didnt even blitz and left the secondary out on an island and, well you saw it. They made Zach Wilson look like an all pro. Just not much to go off of. The pressure they did get, a lot of times out of containment, not breaking down and just mistackle or running past the QB. I did like Luketa though.

We did confirmation that XT,Tip,Melton, Rabbit and DRob are NFL ready...a couple may be good rotation rather than starters and that is okay...add MHJ and the Cards added six NFL ready rookies...that is good news. Weaver looks okay as well and Murphy is marginal on the rotation level. The two OL players look like they have a future and that is a position that takes time to develop. E Jones looks close, he has flashed and also put some bad plays on the tape. Jason Davis has had some flashes as a 7th round pick and a good PS candidate. Palmer has some flashes and also a PS candidate. The scary part is at this point there is close to zero confidence in a back-up QB. The RB and TE room look solid...the OL looks better than we have started a year with in years, the top 3-4 WRs look good. The starting defense is a mystery. The defense has a low bar to be better than in 2023. Rabbit, Williams and Melton give hope the secondary has made vast improvements from 2023.

Also good: The people in Buffalo should be feeling extremely over-confident after today.
Whether or not that will make any difference is to be determined...

I had the thought the Cards showed or revealed nothing for the Bills to have any concern. If the flight plan was low and under the radar...there were no blips....only the sound of silence.

This was pretty ugly. I was kind of astonished but there wasn't a couple players that had really good game because most of these people on the field today are fighting for their NFL lives. No one's mentioned Tony Jones much and he ran hard but it's still not going to help him get on the roster for the Cardinals because our running back room has no room for him. Overall throughout the preseason I think tune has earned the backup quarterback job over Ridder. The offensive line was so bad today that I think you have to take that into consideration we consider how the two potential backup quarterbacks played. Prior to the pick 6 2 had not played horrible they had constant pressure of the entire time he was in the game. The only difference of player I even feel deserve some mention at all was hoskins and I haven't heard his name mentioned as any part of the rotation once the regular season starts. At least he did play with effort.

Not only All Pro, but my wife said Wilson is cute. She asked why NYJ let him go? Like the Cardinals on Sunday, I had no answer for that one.

Ridder confirmed his game is not for the birds...Falcons or the Cards. He's another state of Ohio QB. He played at U of CIN and garnered a bunch of awards in the ACC. He's not cutting it at the professional level. I look for Ridder to be sent to the PS or cut by Aug 28th. His trade value is almost zero.
