Interesting that on the Gameplan show JG said that it doesn’t matter if you’re young or old, you need to get better each week. He said the way to do that is with game reps. Yet he didn't give the starters any in preseason. Seems to contradict his actions. Yes and no. The starters did not play during PS. So, according to the HC's words, the players had no way to experience game reps and 'get better each week' during the 3 PS games. He's being tricky with the words, not contradictory, IMHO. What we don't see are the measurables from the arduous weeks of TC. Every player goes up and down on the performance charts. They are human. Older players don't have all good days.

Might have been talking about the 2nd and 3rd strings ,wants the bottom of the roster to be better prepared for injury which is a major part of the game. Not sure I wouldn't put the starters out there and get some reps. He is also depending on a rookie as a major part of your offense. I do understand not wanting to get the starters banged up and don't mind a little rust to begin the long season. Still I guess we are gonna have to wait and see if it was a wise choice. I saw the bill's as a shot at a win. The Bill's offense I don't think is as good anymore and their defense not as good as in the past. This game could be a shootout but just not sure since it will be the cardinal's first live bullets. I am getting excited though for some real football though

My opinion, we would have won today vs the Bills had we given the starters at least a quarter to gel together each pre-season game. There is no substitute in football for real game speed, hitting, blocking, ST and tackling than games against other teams. And we would have been more prepared for next week’s matchup with the Rams as well.

Also didn't help losing Jonah

Also didn't help losing Jonah I’d say the offense played just fine the first half but it was clear the defense was really poor and special teams coverage was poor. And though the offense looked great in the first half there were no long passes compacted. The game speed timing wasn’t there in both picket protection and between Kyler and the deep ball WR’s Wilson, MHJ and McBride. Two series in I said we would have to score 35 to win. That’s how the defense looked.
