I think our team is too young depth wise. I don't want overpaid vets. I need to be more patient i guess. But are we seeing a pattern?
Well including the preseason were are 3-9 in our last 12 games including 0-2 this preseason.
I see a lack of scoring as a problem, I know these are backups but so are the players we are playing.
Ridder is very inaccurate right now as a backup . Tune knows the system but I'm not sold as a backup yet.
Too many penalties O line was bad in this respect
Isaiah Adams needs to show he is worth that high a pick for him.

We have seen zero starters and the young back up defenders are getting all kind of live snaps with the bad 2nd and 3rd string offenses. JG doesn't care about winning or showing anything...he is focusing on the mid and bottom roster players getting one on one match-ups. There are some very promising young defenders: Robinson. Melton and Rabbit...I even like what UNFA DY Murphy is doing. I could care less about Adams and Jones on the OL...they are day two rookie OL players...projects at best and will be more interested how they play in 2025. Colon and Gaines are the young OL players with prospects of being realistic back-ups in 2024. No need to say Adams and Jones are flops at this point. Having Beach as a swing tackle is great. This staff can develop players...it is great having MHJ, Robinson, Melton and Rabbit look like NFL ready rookies. Tip looks like he is also ready...just a bit lower than the first four. If Monti hits on half of the 2024 rookies...that is a big win for the Cards.

I don't concern myself too much in preseason games. I do think however we need to get a real backup Qb didn't like clayton tune and Ridder isn't any better. I said it before tune should be on the developmental squad IMHO.Ridder is not very good at all.

It didn't bother me FG playing little brother to Shane upon arriving and sitting through Shane's proposed practice draft. It bothered me that the Cards didn't finish practices strong. It was more problematic the team played as if they were the Colts little brothers.
JG better have a better week against the Broncos. IMHO
The best thing I heard the entire week was Conner being tackled by a Colt defender in a blocking scenario and didn't start a fight, but arranged to be matched up against the player the next play and smoking him quickly. FB is the highest form of team sports and also individual respect. There is no forgiveness...just do or don't do. The Cards for the most part had a not do week.
Cards in game performance took a big step backwards in respect by the way it was played by too many players...there were some good performances, but too few.

R E L A X JG is sifting the bottom of the barrel for any Good wheat he can find for PS. JG already knows who his starters and most of his 2nd teamers are. Of last night's game team numbers 40 -53 of the roster was settled (for the most part). Projects were played and more game tape on them too. While preseason wins are nice carrying those Preseason wins over into the regular season is rare. Especially for 2nd yr Coaches & a rebuilding team. No One should expect for even half our draft picks to be starters or make the final 53. If we get 6 solid players from 2nd rd on then Monti & JG had an exceptional draft. MHJ & DR will see much play this coming season. So will Benson and Rieman Melton should. CB Elijah Jones, Xavier Thomas, and Demerson should. Anyone else after these 6 might make PSquad

The likes on the likes for each team played and the Cards got punked by a team with little depth of any quality. It was a step back in being mentally prepared as well as sound FB play. If the mid and lower roster players are playing poor...what is the state of the starters?

I'm still concerned with OL depth. Adams, Wilkenson, Colon...Turn styles like a NY Monday morning rush hour in the subway. Awful showing in pass pro for Tune.

He doesn’t really care about winning pre-season games. It would just be nice if it happened. He isn’t starting a single starter all pre-season, except for 3 snaps with MHJ on the field.

I don't remember seeing us blitz but I didn't get to watch the whole game.

I am seeing quite a bit of panic after a preseason game for a team for which we should rightfully have zero expectations.
Tune looked pretty good to me.
Preseason is not what it used to be. Cards used to do well in preseason by game planning against teams not game planning and evaluating their rosters. Now we are doing the latter (like a good coaching staff should do) and panic ensues.
